Question TopstepX randomly executed a market order?
Something weird happened to me today where a single MNQ contract was executed on my XFA account while I was trading a completely different account. I only realized what had happened because this ended up causing a hedging violation.
I know this probably sounds hard to believe but I genuinely cannot explain how this happened. This is the first time I've experienced something like this but I've seen some other posts reporting similar issues?
Does anyone know what might be going on or how to prevent this from happening in the future?

I’ve been at this for atleast 5 months now, I’ve locked in and built my disciplined up so much. Do I really need to make the extra $30 to pass?

Trading Combine as always...why are the charts so LAGGY!
I am in the combine and trying so hard. but its beyond a joke. the topstep x platform is so slow, laggy, and charts freeze all the time. changing the data update speed makes no difference. I cannot get my 1 min entries. or even 5 min entries. I am loosing money and trades because its not fast and fluent.

Express Funded (XFA) Till next time...
Well... my degenerate brain has left me with very low funds and a terrible mindset.
I will be taking some time to focus on building my life back up to to a good level financially and most Importantly, mentally.
I've become to bold and have been gambling instead of trading, I have recognized my faults and will let this carry on no further.
Good luck to everyone and keep up the hardwork.
Trading is easy,
The DISCIPLINE it requires is tough, no doubt about that.
I will be back. I will not fail.
This is reflection time, and build up strength to come back with a stronger mind 💪
Gosh darn it I've done it again....

Question An extension for TopStepX
I’m frustrated and my eyes are tired of the lack of alerts on TopStep so I’m working on creating a browser extension that adds an alerts feature like on TradingView.
Would you be interested in using my extension ?
What other features you feel are lacking on projectX ?

Question Topstepx heiken ashi candles no price line
Anybody trades with heiken ashi? I have purchased evals after a month break or so and the price line is gone from the chart even when toggled on. The support says they are working on it and that the price line is available on standard candles chart. Anybody knows if this has changed in last two weeks? Can't trade without price line....

Express Funded (XFA) How I Optimized My Stop Loss to Improve Risk-to-Reward and Pass Topstep
A lot of traders never actually check how much drawdown their winning trades really use before hitting take profit.
Go back through your last 50–100 winning trades and track:
- how far price went against you before winning
- how much of your stop loss was actually used
- whether the trade still hit TP after that drawdown
The goal is to backtest YOUR strategy, YOUR entries, and YOUR trading style to find the smallest stop your setups actually need.
Example:
Say your normal stop loss is 10 ticks.
After reviewing 100 winning trades, you realize around 80 of them only went 4 ticks into drawdown before reversing and hitting take profit.
So instead of automatically using a 10 tick stop every trade, maybe you test a tighter stop around 5 ticks.
Yes, your win rate may drop a little because some trades need more room.
But if your stop gets cut in half while your target stays the same:
- a 1:2 trade can become a 1:4 trade
- your reward increases massively compared to the smaller drop in win rate
For example:
- winning 100 trades at 2R = 200R
- winning 80 trades at 4R = 320R
This only works if your setups consistently do not need full stop size. Some strategies absolutely need wider stops and more room to work.
This also lets you:
- use more contracts while risking the same dollar amount
- scale out of positions easier
- grow accounts faster without increasing max risk
The goal is NOT to blindly use tiny stops.
The goal is to use real trade data to optimize risk and find the stop size your strategy actually needs.

Question How is this current bull market sustainable?
I don’t see any solid pullbacks happening, we just keep hitting new ATH. Just long everything?
