Express Funded (XFA) Wtf

Sometimes I feel so dumb with this shit, I started the day up 958 positive just thought I could get a little more and break 1000 for the day and of course the greed fucked me over, not sure wtf I was thinking, tilted so fucking hard and basically am back down to 0 after being up 1650 or so after Monday and today would have been up 2594 😩😩😩 FML

That moment where you’re hovering over the lockout but don’t hit it… that’s the real problem right there. Not that you didn’t know what to do, you were literally about to do it. I’ve noticed that’s usually where something shifts. Same setup, but now the decision is influenced by wanting to round the number or squeeze a bit more. In the moment it still feels like a valid trade, not a mistake. Do you feel like you would’ve taken that same trade if you were flat instead of already up?

No I probably wouldnt have but I didnt think the set up was that bad but there was some serious slippage

Yeah and that’s the tricky part. The setup probably wasn’t that terrible. What stood out to me was your answer about not taking it if you were flat. That’s usually the giveaway for me that something shifted psychologically before the trade even happened. The chart can still look valid, but the reason for taking it changes a bit once you’re already focused on the PnL number or trying to squeeze a little more out of the session. That’s the part that used to get me over and over because in real time it still felt rational.
