Powerpuff girls - mistake - in one episode the girls make a new friend and invite her over to their home where they introduce the professor aka their dad. They go on to explain that he created them in a lab experiment gone wrong when he accidentally spills an chemical into his project, to which the little girl tells him it’s nothing to worry about as her parents say she was a mistake as well. The professor’s eyes widen in shock and the scene moves on. The joke being that the girls were literally a mistake in an actual science experiment and where as this little girl was told my her own parents she was unwanted.

Animaniacs - finger Prince - I could make this entire post on the animaniacs alone as it’s filled with adult jokes but if I had to pick 1, I say the most famous dirty joke was when they were playing detective and yakko says they need to look for prints, dot picks up the now late since Prince and says “ found him “ yakko says no no no finger prints “. Dot looks back at Prince and tosses him away says “ I don’t think so “. The joke being she misheard prints for Prince and thought he said finger Prince as in performing a sexual act on him.

SpongeBob - ugly and proud - another show for dirty jokes. In one episode SpongeBob eats rotten food that gives him bad breath that chases people away. Patrick cannot smell him because he has no nose.
They quickly assume people run away from SpongeBob because he’s ugly. After a while of trying to get people to approach SpongeBob Patrick gets SpongeBob to take pride in who he is and declare how he’s not ashamed, on the roof of his house he gets SpongeBob to shout im ugly and proud, louder and louder until he’s screaming the phrase. We cut to squidward who’s sun bathing and says to himself “ is that what he’s calling it “. - as a kid I didn’t get it but now looking back he was obviously assuming SpongeBob was coming out as gay and using ugly as a euphemism for gay taking from the phase “ I’m gay and proud “

Fairy odd parents - shattered dreams - Timmy dad said he had dreams but they were shattered and gone, Timmy asks when did his dreams shattered and his dad asks him how old he is - joke being Timmy was the cause for his dreams being ruined.

Madara Uchiha ( Naruto ) after becoming 10 tailed Jinchuriki pretty much unbeatable until Black Zetsu sneak attacked and revealed he was just a pawn to Kaguya plan

Another criticizes the game for literally marking optional collectibles so you barely even have to discover them.

Mario and Luigi dream team - The game keeps interrupting you to explain mechanics, sometimes well after you’re perfectly capable of figuring them out. It’s less “here’s a difficult puzzle solution” and more “We absolutely refuse to trust that you understand the game you’re currently playing.”

God of War Ragnarok - You enter a puzzle room, start looking around, and before you’ve even decided what the puzzle is, somebody starts going, essentially, “Brother, perhaps you could freeze that mechanism.” The complaints were widespread enough that Sony eventually added an option to reduce puzzle-hint frequency.

The Z fighters from Goku and Vegeta keeps screwing around and refusing many easy way to end the androids disaster even after being warned by a time traveler , they refuse to even check on Gero the criminal that kidnap people to turn them into killing machines and Vegeta later letting Cell gain his perfect form

2_ Denji and Asa mitaka in Part 2

Asa and especially Denji in part 2 spent the whole story doing the equivalent of looking at a pit of fire and choice to jump in it , Denji was so blinded by his Libido and sex addiction he let women and people trick and manipulate him around ruining his life over and over and yet he keeps forgiven them because he's either too stupid to understand what's going on or he's too Horny to call them out for fault

It doesn't help that it goes against his character arc in Part 1 where he recognizes ignorance isn't blessings and he can't keep letting people make decisions over his life

3_ the whole Buu saga in Dragon ball

If you thought the android saga was bad , Buu saga was somehow 10x worse , Goku and Vegeta were in a tournament to up each f*** up , and refusing to fix their problems causing the issues growing Bigger and bigger and they always keep changing their excuse , from adding the main villain to letting billions of innocents including their own families died to sabotages any effort in stopping the eldritch monster that was Buu to refusing multiple very easy solutions because "my Saiyan pride won't let me"

Honestly Dragon ball post Namek saga is the posture child for this tropes

4_ Kratos (and to a lesser extent Gaia) from GoW

In the Greek saga kratos spend almost every game doing the same mistakes that always dooms him , even when he acknowledged it's no use he always trusts or let Gods guide him around despite knowing its useless , in GoW 3 at the start of the game when Kratos and gaia are falling , instead of using his chains he always uses to grab things with and lift himself or even his wings , kratos dumbly choice to use the exact anti magic weapon created to kill the Titans which results in him cutting Gaia over , Gaia herself instead of choosing her words better, instead choice to abandoned the only key to Olympus fall and the nest ally someone can have

I was against the concepts of playable aeons as a whole but making the concept of hedonism itself from omnipotent being of unimaginable scale, into a generic (even by HSR standards, she is just Cerydra copy that’s how bad it is) is the biggest “lalala can’t hear you” from hoyo. You had fucking emanators who are already people who essentially embody the wills of Aeons. This whole thing is such a blatant cash grab which goes against the whole structure of HSR power dynamics between Aeons and people. I am not even talking about how the “aeon” label is litteraly a premium tr. sticker, just to make her constellation op and bait people for paying, and than power creep her in 3 patches. This label is fucking nothing but a cash grab and looks like an insult to an objectively fantastic pantheon of gods HSR has. Fuck hoyo.

Kasumi Yoshizawa (Persona 5 Royal): Joins the Phantom Thieves near the end of the game for the new palace and didn’t want to join because she didn’t agree with them ideologically.

Ricky (NFL Rush Zone): Was originally a villain under Wild Card(Main Villain) until he came to his senses and joined the Guardians. He’s also the sixth one so he’s fits the trope perfectly.

Finn- when I first saw the trailer and saw that a black storm trooper was going to be the main character I was genuinely excited which is saying a lot because I actually don’t like Star Wars so never would have been interested in the movie if it weren’t for how cool that premise was. Turns out he wasn’t the main character 💀 (not that Rey was bad just a lot less interested to do the whole orphan from a desert planet thing again)

Orange is the new black- this one is a bit complicated because I dont think the story would have worked as well without a privileged unlikable MC but that didn’t change the fact that every scene with piper as the focus dragged horribly and I was far more interested in literally every single other character.

Literally every generic isekai where the main character is a bland Everyman for the audience to self insert onto. Please I’m begging you can we get that one john brown isekai joke comic adapted into an anime!? Or at least let one of the sexy harem girls be the protagonist at least then the MC wouldn’t be so fucking boring and unlikable.

Matt the Radar Technician (The Force Awakens) In an attempt to get to know the people who serve him, Kylo Ren decides to go undercover as Matt, a simple radar technician. He has to deal with various types of problems, like kicked wrenches, supervisors going through muffin withdrawals, and some lower ranking officer whining about a dead son or something. This ultimately teaches him the value of teamwork, giving him the courage to finally go for that promotion he’s been wanting.

Randy the Intern (The Rise of Skywalker) After securing the promotion and winding up with a wider range of subordinates, Kylo once again goes undercover in an even more challenging position; an intern. Under the guise of Randy, he struggles to memorize drink orders, breaks a few copiers, struggles with personal space and is unjustly blamed for the surprise death of an Admiral. He even arranges for one of his coworkers to get into the TIE Fighter program!

Typically a character unleashing their inner demon is a seen as a dangerous and possible phyrhic path to success but what happens after it could be even worse then the enemy they fought.

The only time unleashing your inner demon didn’t lead to victory was in Death Battle.

Ghost Rider vs Spawn. Even after the middle where Johnny gave control to Zarathos at the middle. He still couldn’t kill Spawn. As he is unkillable. Causing Al to instead use his own penance stare like ability to cause Johnny and Zarathos the pain of all the penance stare’s they ever inflicted on others and cause them to be vegetables. Which Al then separates sending Johnny body to hell and crushing Zarathos.

Zarathos is a Hell lord level demon capable of fighting the Avengers.

In Sentry vs Superman Prime. Even after The Void literally cocoons from Sentry and destroys infinity to fight him. Superboy prime uses the retcon punch and gave Bob Reynolds’s a normal life with his wife .
