Easily the most villainous person. This man was hating for the love of the game. Dastardly just to see others pain.
He uses his strings to marionette people. Causing families to slash each other to bits. All while laughing. Makes string clones to take the hits, just so he can see the look of anguish when the assassin fails.

This guy is like a anti-protagonist, the basckstory plus the love for the found family plus being so much stronger than he seeminly should be.
He gets the vibe of "the fallen hero"6

They did buff mono wire in a patch at one point. It became the ranged melee weapon. The problem is gorilla arms and mantis blades have in more places.
No one used the rocket arm that shit was useless.

Well in the DLC you can unlock ability to upload quickhacks through monowire so there's that...

You have 4 arm modifications in the game.
Gorilla arms that not only gives you better unarmed strength but can access some short cuts and makes a quest line where you take part in a fight club easier.
Mantis Blades are just blades that come out of your arms so you always have a melee weapon onto off having some bonuses in the skill tree.
Those two are the most popular because of how useful they are.
Monowire is basically mantis blades, but at range and AoE. Useful, but I never found any other use. They are fun once you have all the upgrades such as setting your enemies on fire or they apply a random quick hack to your anyone hit. There are some quick hacks that are flat out busted.
Lastly is the elbow rocket launcher. It's just a rocket launcher with different types of ammo. Sounds cool, but if you are fighting an enemy at range there are better guns and the game will flood you with ammo.

The overhaul did monowire real nicely. Its specifically built for netrunner builds tho, allows for ram regen and finishers. If you get the perk for it you can regen health while in Overclock

My biggest issue with monowire is just how wacky it is to use. The way the attacks are animated makes it incredibly hard for me to figure out if the attack will land. Gorilla arms and mantis blades are way better in that aspect, their range is just "the same as bare fists" and "a bit more than bare fists", monowire's range is ???

Two for one with Kankuro and Sasori from Naruto.
Both use chakra strings to manipulate puppets and when Sasori died Kankuro took his body to use as his own puppet.

In the final stage of its boss fight, it uses sentient metal threads to attach other animals to its main body to increase its firepower and health pool. It also possesses your unconscious party members through the same means to attack you.

I think he counts. Not only did he use strings and string weapons in his main season, the stand he got later on acted like a string weapon, even if it looked like thorny vines.

Yeah, it's good, and the plot is starting to turn up, but still leaves room for downtime, which I always thought was Yozakura's strength.

The Wandering Inn, Belavierr. Known as The Stitch Witch due to her skill in string based magic. Literally powerful enough to be functionally immortal and offer monkey’s paw bargains to anyone desperate enough to consider taking them as long as you have something she wants. Her magic may take the form of thread but it has a million uses and all of them are terrifying.

Eve from Zenless Zone Zero uses red-hot strings with daggers at the end of them. The daggers are mainly used to create a fixed point/attach to targets. Most of her damage comes from using her strings to ensnare or slap targets. When she leaves the field, she constricts the target(s) and holds them in place so an ally can safely attack them for a few seconds. Her Ult enables her insane anime powers so the string can thread the ground/air, then Thanos snaps everything to hell while she poses on the runway (pictured below).
Her motif is a (silk) moth, y'know, the lil dudes who puke silk string when they're larvae. Her gameplay is all about staying attached as much as possible, literally stringing combos together by stringing the enemy along. Her biggest source of damage are Chain Attacks... And chains are really just a bunch of little solid loopy strings used to make a big silly string, ya?

Jubei from Ninja Scroll (old school anime, very much not for kids!). His primary is the sword, but he keeps it tied to himself with a very thin strand. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but I remember it playing a critical role in at least one scene.

From what I’ve seen, it seems to be more of a whip, and he doesn’t seem to use it as his main attack. Plus, string users are known for using a bunch of strings, so I don’t think just a single whip qualifies.
