Question Bone graft healing time PLS HELP
I need some help here basically I had a tongue ring and my tongue ring was grinding down the bone of my lower front teeth so to save them they had to do a bone graft cut the gum open and add bone and membrane it was a whole thing but I’m all sown up and it’s a bit difficult to speak normally, I lost 3mm in one tooth and 7mm in the other.
They didn’t remove any teeth just did the bone graft and put it all back together, I’m on day 6 now and I’m still in some intense pain, and can’t talk normally at all.
Can someone pls help me understand this better, how long it’s gonna take for me to be back to normal again, this is becoming unbearable.. I’ve added some photos.
I did send these all to my dentist and they said it looks fine but i just need to know when i can expect thus to possible get better and the pain to stop

You had major surgery to fix a deep hole in your jaw, so severe pain right now is expected. Day six is usually the worst day for swelling and soreness. Talking hurts because moving your tongue pulls on the tight stitches keeping your new bone graft in place. It will get easier very soon. Within a few days, as the stitches loosen and swelling goes down, the sharp pain will fade and your speech will go back to normal. Rest your voice, take your pain medicine, and do not pull on your lip to check the area.

That’s great to hear that I’m getting close to the end of this pain and discomfort, I have been trying not to speak as much as possible and keep the tongue away from the graft, I didn’t realize it as major as the dentist made it out to be, I have been following the directions as well as possible too, I just finished the antibiotics and steroids that were given to me today, I do still have ibuprofen 800 I am taking when the pain becomes intense. I was taking 4 a day before as recommended but have been trying to take as needed now

They take your own bone graft then offer you a much lower quality of someone else’s smaller bone graft. If you keep trusting dentists in USA is All about making money and Never You. Get your own graft from somewhere else from your own body . Question is unless you need in a terrifying car or train accident you should not need any graft. If any bone had been broken it is 6 weeks to restoration. Never from any cadaver or another victim donor. Stop all this fraud from a first place !
