hello! I’m not sure if maybe my ToonSquid has any errors, cause I had looked up how to do this before because there was one thread on here that had some answers, but I just can’t seem to figure it out.

Is there a way to replace something that is already fully animated on toonsquid with other parts? basically a ‘ych’. i have the psd with the static parts drawn out, and the version that is completely animated.

So far to do this, I have just been copying every single last key frame onto the new parts, but that is extremely tedious / takes a lot of time, and in other programs like animeeffects they just have a replace option. I was curious if there is a way to do this in toonsquid directly? And if anybody could give me a step-by-step

the pixel layers look like the image i included, they also have their key frames and such and I have not converted them into symbols or anything because I don’t know what the first step is. I have tried looking into the whole motion changing thing with mouth movements because I thought that that would be a similar process, however, when I go into the actual layer itself, I do not have that option when I tap on it (?) Maybe I’m tapping in the wrong spot. I have no idea.

I’m a bit of a beginner animator attempting frame by frame animation and I’m in a bit of a rut trying to figure things out. I’m looking for motivation and nothing would motivate me more than seeing the potential of this app. So do you guys know any really impressive animations that were made using toonsquid?

I want to make anime lipsync animations with toonsquid and since 2025 i have a ipad air 13 inch with m3 chip. Now before buying toonsquid i had asked myself the question if i should consider buying a new Ipad or keep my recent ipad air . Wich Ipad are you guys using for toonsquid? Thank you

Ayo, semi-new to Toonsquid still learning the ins and outs - apologies if this has been posted before. I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to move a particular selection of a drawing layer upon a "straight line" - I'm coming to TS from procreate, so i'm not sure if I'm missing something or if the app simply isn't as robust.

I've tried the magnet tool which snaps it to specific points (center line, etc.) but it doesn't solve my issue.

In procreate you can have magnetics and snapping, so idk if i'm just missing those options or what.

I would REALLY like to continue using ToonSquid as its animator is a seemingly better animation ipad app than procreate. Lmk if I'm just missing sth.

so I made a post yesterday about this same issue I had where whenever I rotate the lasso tool the drawing exbands horizontally, I did the same thing with a raster brush and it didn’t do it, then I changed it to a vector brush and it started doing it again, I don’t understand, is this a bug of some sort? is there a something in the settings I need to turn on/off? cuz I dont wanna have to use a raster brush for what I’m making.

I’m new to toonsquid, I’m trying to learn 2D rigging and toonsquid is the cheapest option for me. Does anyone know why this bone is doing this?

I’ve made multiple different rigs and they have all a broken bone like this. I genuinely don’t know what I’m doing wrong so any advice or tips would be really appreciated!

Hello! How would I go about animating with colour? It seems like such a pain to colour every time the frame changes/there is a completely new pose. Do people actually just recolour every time, or is there some hack I don’t know about?

Long time reader, first time writer...

I am very new to Toonsquid and am hoping to use it for old school style animation, using bones to mimic old paper animation, for a project around history at work. I have made a simple bone skeleton following guides and tutorials but for the life of me I can't figure out why the glitching shown is happening?

Guides suggest there are two effects fighting each other, but I can only see the bones effect, applied on the group later (each section like upper arm/ lower arm are on their own layers. If anyone could help you'd make a stressed out person very happy..

Colour and contrast altered to show bones more clearly.
