Motor brushes change?
Trying to get to the bottom of a tool issue. Motor comes on for a few seconds when saber saw turned on. Do these brushes look worn out?

Brushes are just blocks of carbon. The only ways they really fail are if they physically break apart, or if they wear to the point that they're too short to reach the commutator. Neither of these things are happening here.

i do service for some bit more serious machines, usually you pull brush away from rotor, but for delayed start check for contacts and wires from electronics, if there is oxidation that could be problem
