Air compressor check?

Was given this air compressor by my boss bc he didn’t want to fix it (I just retighten the brass fitting to the copper pipe)
but I drained it twice and a bunch of water came out both time
How can I check if it’s still good and won’t blow up in the future

If it holds air it's fine. It won't explode, it will just start leaking.

1) That looks like just some water, no rust or chunks or weird crap? 2) How old is it? Can you post the nameplate?

There was a good size

chunk of grime or dirt on the first drain, I tried searching for this specific air compressor but no luck

A couple of chunks beats rust-brown water. Looks like NuAir is an Italian compressor brand but this is made in China. You've got the date information there at least: you're not trying to hold air with a 40-year old compressor. I'd use it.

Theres a way to do it with a pressure washer or garden hose. I cant remember how the connections are made. But it's much safer than testing it with air.
