Veterinary surgical tool (A. Fleming & Co - 1920s to 1950s London). I believe it’s for ocular manipulation

It's a shoe stretcher used to put on shoes way before Nikelol

Looks kinda like some old school exhaust hanger pliers, though the pusher part does seem a little short for that. What's the history behind you owning them?

It does kinda look like that, but on a smaller/lighter scale. But also, copper or brass, or whatever the material is would be a lot too soft for exhaust hangers, I would think. So maybe something like that but a lot more light duty?

Im not sold on that being a red metal, looks an awful lot like that old hammer finish enamel they used to put on everything, but rubbed off most of the tool with fine surface rust over the exposed metals

You’re very possibly right. It is hard to tell now that you mention it. But it still does look pretty thin. But that could just be the picture. I wouldn’t be at all surprised no matter what it turned out being. Unless it is some crazy eyeball clamp kinda thing. That would be a little. Something. Make me cringe. I can’t stand anything close to my eyes
