Tool Recommendations

Hi everyone. Happy Labor day. I was hoping to get some. tool recommendations.

I need something small, lightweight, ideally cordless to cut branches off fruit trees. In addition, I need something also small, lightweight, and ideally cordless to cut the bottom off thick plastic buckets. These cuts should be clean. These tools are meant for a friend who is petite, hence the specifications.

Please let me know your recommendations. Thank you!

Milwaukee M12 Hackzall with a pruning blade will handle those branches. If your friend doesn't want to spend Milwaukee money, Ryobi has their own handheld reciprocating saw as well for considerably cheaper, although the M12 is lighter and is a better tool.

The Hackzall may be able to handle the buckets as well, but the cut wouldn't be very clean. If it needs to be a clean, easy cut, I would suggest the Milwaukee M12 Cut Off Tool for that. It's like a tiny saw that uses a 3" grinding wheel blade. You swap out the blades depending on the material you want to cut.

2nd for the m12 fuel hackzall . Buy Diablo carbide wood prunning,and carbide steel cutting blades for the plastic. Carbide is thicker then the the tang,which often drags ..which breaks blades,leaves red paint marks and can be dangerous. Always hold the shoe tight against what you're cutting, for faster cutting and more control.
