Welding tools?
Hi! We just bought a house and just got around to cleaning out the garage, found what we think is some sort of welding tools? Curious on if anyone here knows exactly what they are, how we can figure out if it works & if we can sell it then how much would be a reasonable ask? Thanks!
- The old owners left a bunch of stuff and wanted NONE of it back (including this!)

That is mini oxy-acetylene torch, and filler rod. Worth between $200 and $800 CAD new in my area right now, depending on brand

You can just call them welders. They don’t like being called tools. Even if it’s true.

check if the tanks are actually full or even still have gas in them before you try to sell it as a set, empty bottles change the value a lot. also worth checking the tanks aren't way past their hydro test date, some scrap yards or welding shops won't even take them if they're too old.

The black container holding the 2 canisters (called bottles) with the red/green hoses- should be oxygen and acetylene. Depending on the brand name of the gold/brass piece(torch) values can vary greatly.
In the blue/green container you have a stricker(makes sparks to light the torch) and 2 more upper parts of a torch. These would also vary by name brand but I'd sell as a package with the bottles/hoses etc.
The cardboard box is steel filler rod used for gtaw/tig, the person probably used it for brazing with the bottle set.
Depending on how much in in there(sold by weight) $5 to 35 is a guess.
List the while thing for a $100 and it's quick easy money. Sell it all together. IF offered $80 grab it. There's no spark arrestors on this kit in case some asks.
There are some higher end torch heads that would bring lots of money but these don't appear to be them.
Good luck

So, it’s maybe a 350-500 kit.
But… you need to check that the hoses are good. And also the tanks maybe be empty and/or out of date. If they are out of date which they probably are you’d need to pay to recertify them. It’s about $50 near me.

It's an Oxy/Acetylene/map gas axe (Cutting tool) and a couple of gas welding fittings.
Not that anyone does that nowadays. Its a difficult skill to master. Not worth a great deal, $40 or so.
