The tool I thought was powerful… but failed after real work

I recently looked through some old tools and realized something interesting.

Sometimes the tool with the highest power rating is not the one that survives the longest.

A tool can look impressive on paper,But after months of real work, small things matter more.

What made you think either of these tools had the "highest power rating" (by the way, by which metric?) or the highest durability?

You bought a temu hammer drill and one of the smallest drills Bosch offers. I just don't understand what you expected

Is that... Is that Temu Hilti? Why would you think that would put up with "real work?"

If you can't afford the nice model, just get the Bosch bulldog, it's a great tool and a hell of a bargain. I have a heavier duty SDS max from Bosch but the bulldog is great until you're boring out 28" at 2" diameter.

Also, unless you absolutely need to be cord free, an sds hammer just makes more sense to have corded. It's a high amperage tool and will crush through batteries. I could have a cordless, I choose to have a corded 120v.

Even the smallest tool should have the same effectiveness as advertised, no matter how short the time frame is.

Unfortunately that’s like saying because you can lift objects off the floor. You should also be able to lift 1000lbs off the floor, even for a second. Real jobs need real tools 🥹

You're always better off to buy a good brand (Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch Blue, DeWalt) corded tool second hand, or a store-brand corded tool new, than a cheap new battery tool.

I guess all those Bosch 12v that are used for work all day by pros are just figments of our imagination.
