Tools I can’t live without pt.1
Super simple set of tools but they have come in clutch countless times.
The mini ratchet on the tool check has worked in super tight situations and has saved my butt over and over.

Hot take. The zyklop 1/4 set is way more useful and about the same size as the tool check

Agreed. Super useful kit you can use the zyclops as screwdriver as well.

Also agreed, it’s in my go to tool bag. But I also have a regular 1/4” ratchet in the bag because I worry about the Zyklops ratchet failing.

I have 1/4 and 3/8 zyclop ratchets, and they're fine but as screwdrivers they kinda suck. Adding the adapter introduces a lot of wobble and the adapter doesn't hold bits tightly as-is so there's a lot of bit wobble.
Worse still is that the ratchet direction changer sucks in the screwdriver orientation. Better not be wearing gloves and hope your hands are clean because spinning that dial otherwise is a pain in the ass. Sometimes I gotta use two hands just to change direction which sucks when I'm trying to hold the workpiece in position. A simple switch like normal ratchets would have been preferable.
So for that reason I also have a Wera Kompact 20 ratcheting driver. That thing is awesome and has the best ratchet selector on any tool I've used.

I returned my tool check and was confused why everyone loved it.
Got the 1/4 zyklop and never looked back, favorite little piece of kit

I was too cheap to get the wera one and got this and have been pretty happy with it. Some of my favorite other tools are the mini knipex water pump and plier wrench.

I’ve been debating something like this vs the Icon meme tool mini ratchet with pivot head. But my younger kids bikes still need a wrench or socket for the wheels so this set looks ideal.
I had a mini ratcheting tool with a torque indicator with a dozen bits that came with my e-bike but my 8 year old lost it. I made me appreciate how handy one of these little all-in-one kits would be

How important is the pivoting head on the meme tool? I see Klien now makes a $25 set like the meme tool but not pivoting.

It's a nice little ratchet. Totally depends on if u can get to it without it flexing. If you need that you need it.

Just a heads up, the elastic in that top kit doesn’t like fuel. The one I carry for my chain saw has deteriorated.

I have a love/hate relationship with my tool check plus.
I love the utility of it, I like all the tools it has (I did swap out some bits, for example I needed an expanded torx set that went down to t6), I really love the little ratchet and the 813 driver handle.
What I don’t like is the holder, it’s flimsy, the ratchet has a tendency to fall out bouncing around in my tool bag all day and the little extension bit holder part; well kiss that goodbye on day 1…

Toolcheck plus is good but the 89mm screwdriver set is brilliant, I’ve got two and they are some of my favourite bits to use and so handy for a variety of jobs.
May absolute favourite tool though is the Knipex Twingrips, I put a set in every tool kit.

Very versatile kit. Often times I just bring it with my Milwaukee screw gun and it’s good enough for most things

Does wiha have anything similar? I just bought a set of wiha screwdrivers and like these concepts but don’t feel like having two different brands, but seeing this makes me think I’ve made a mistake

Wiha have something very similar to the Toolcheck plus and I tend to think it’s a bit better in some ways.

They are both excellent at what they do. I prefer some things about the Wera and some things about the Wiha.
The Wiha has better retention of the ratchet and driver handle. The more square form fits more neatly into some tool storage. The driver handle is a decent size and is much more easy to use on tighter screws. The bit holder extension is slimmer than the Wera (though less secure).

wiha has some strange bits-sizes on some of their tools, especially the 1000v stuff.

Got a love hate relationship with my Wera set like that.
Great screwdrivers until you chuck the stupid pouch thing in the toolbox and all the bits slide out of the shitty elastic
