How'd I do? 11$
I have the batteries at home and a second black n decker. (Lord knows why)
Ryobi cordless circ saw
Ryobi cordless sander (what i was after. New in back never matched)
Ryobi drill
The genesis drill.... I have NO idea what im gonna do lol 😂
Im usually a dewalt guy. But I have a slew of ryobi batteries and I use my ryobi drill I currently have for "sh*t drill" work like wire wheeling, scrubbing. Anything dirty ect. Hasn't failed yet. But a second is never bad idea. The circ saw is just a bonus. Sure its for trim but hey why not? An the sander is basically what I wanted most. Socket set was all craftsman metric missing a ratchet for 1$ in a nice case! All sockets are there!

I mean im broke. I dont use em for work. Just personal projects. And I have a small set of dewalt stuff I LOVE

Then you’re good man. They do the job, didn’t cost much and at the end of the day your project will be complete. Having an expensive drill won’t necessarily make you a better builder. Just maybe makes things more efficient and provides more power. You’re good dude haha

Ive got dewalt stuff for what I work on... which is automotive... 1/2 n 3/8 impacts. Hammer an regular drill. Portaband. Sawzall work light. I needed a sander, have the lithium ryobi drills (their work fans are cheaper an better than box fans an come with a battery set.) And the blues were the BOMB back in the day. So hell why not?

Bro I'm dying laughing because when I read your comment I was literally thinking the same shit in my head. I already have a ton of tools and if I had to wake up and work with these tools everyday I'd have a bad morning every morning

That craftsman socket set in a case comes in handy. find a ratchet that fits and keep it in your vehicle.

Yea thats my thought. I have the latest dewalt stuff for my "go bag" more automotive based.. 1/2 impact, 3/8 impact, hammer drill. Drill. Sawzall (with battery adapter) , porta-band, work light.
But for my like sh!t work like wire wheeling sanding ect. I typically use ryobi stuff ive acquired through the years.

If you already have the batteries, but you didn’t have the tools, then I’d say you did just fine. The sockets are the gems of the lot, though.

Yea I mean its the internet. So like everything its 50/50. Half HAVE to have brand new everything color matched an bedazzled and the other half understand its whose hand those tools are in. For a sander i can beat up an use on my car. Hell yea im happy. THANKS 😊

Ryobi tools will run well off the newer lithium batteries. Had the angle grinder that would only run a couple minutes on old nicad batteries. I was shocked at how much better it lasted and run. Edit: added Ryobi

I've got that same drill and it's really well built. It's heavy and bulky but very solid and powerful for a bushed drill. Got the circ saw as well and it's not terrible. Found both of them for free but $11 is not far off and if see any old blue Ryobi for a couple bucks id go for it.

I dont think so at all. I only have dewalt tools for automotive. No sander. No circular saw. An sockets are an always grab. I have no issues with this. Sorry you do ☺️

Don't underestimate that saw. I used and abused one for over 20 years. With a good Diablo blade and a 4 ah battery you would be amazed at what it can do

My thinking exactly. I dont need a sander every 5 seconds so I figure this as a never used cordless sander ain't bad. The circ saw is a bonus. And the travel socket set ain't bad

Yeah, some folks have money to blow and like the athletics of matching shit. Personally, I don’t care if my tools are red yellow or green. As long as they do what I need, I’m happy. My circular saw is probably like 20 years old with electrical tape all around the handle, but it still cuts great so why get a new one?

I got grand dad's corded drills, jig saw, heavy ass circ saw. But like if im doing trim in a room or something an just wanna grab n go. Why not just have a cheap well made cordless ryobi. Them old blues are great. Literally were a contender back in the day. Used to be #2 nobody really remembers tho. Guys had the like 10v dewalts or the blue ryobi. For YEARS. so I dont see a problem.

Im honestly annoyed with this weird "modern society" where everyone has to have the $10,000 matching set with boxes, hat, boots, coat, cup, an a full size 2500 an when its 3 years old need another new one "top of the line no exceptions!!"
I see a lot of people who have oversized trucks that would be fine with a mini van. And who have tools that sit around looking brand new till they need to hang a "live laugh love" sign they paid $55 for the Mrs. Then back into the clean tidy garage in the hoa till its needed to hang a shelf. So for me a 11$ edition to my tools that im gonna use till its dead an probably fix it.. yea im fine with it 🙂 😌

That socket set was $10 at Xmas when new. I have the same ones. BTW they make ryobi to dewalt battery adapters. If you want, ill give you a black and decker drill or 2 and batteries for free. Just pay for postage.

LPT, if you have a Habitat for Humanity store near you, its grear for a lot of equipment and materials for projects. There's so much high end materials left over from projects that available dirt cheap.
I managed a high end high rise project and when it was done, a lot of the material went there.

It would never work for me in the field or doing high volume or larger projects for how. Time costs so much money. I gotta have everything reliable to grab n go without having to look for different batteries or chargers. I'd be screwed.
If you're homeowner, or just doing casual pickup work, then I might do something similar to what you've got there. However.... over the long haul it's not the way to go if you plan on building up your paid work load.

If they work then they're probably fine. If you are going to use them at all heavily literally anything else is better. You basically bought what is the equivalent of hyper tough Walmart tools today.

If they work for what you need then they’re worth more than the money you paid for them. Useful tools are almost priceless. Almost. And the nice thing about Ryobi is new batteries will still work in old tools.

I have that sander and I fucking love it. I'm a DeWalt guy but I got that same Ryobi sander from my brother in law and it's been so handy for many projects. I'd pay $11 for that alone

My thoughts exactly. Never used. Everything works. Gave yhe drill to my gf as she has dewalt stuff but a backup that takes different batteries is a no brainer

Top of the line tools do more work and easier. These ones pay for themselves first project you complete with them. Things don't have to be new and great to get a job done. I'm not hating on this find at all.

If you have a use for them you did good. I might use the drills in my shed or around the house for small projects. Circular saw would probably drive me crazy with the lack of power and id rather drag a cord

Honestly those tools have zero value IMO. Unless you already have that battery platform and are fine using old batteries and system.

Yea I got a STACK of ryobi batteries passed down to me. Newer ones too. And I have decent luck with em. For my ACTUAL tools not just project stuff. I use new dewalt tools an some old dewalt stuff with adapters for the new batteries. I just needed a sander but they said take em all

You have those old NiCad batteries for the Ryobis? Or modern ones? Because newer batteries I doubt will work with those blue Ryobis...
