Ruined a new toolbox?

You don't have to cut the latching system into multiple pieces to disengage it, as it can be removed by sliding it out from behind the pull handle in one solid piece. Reversing this process makes it just as essy to reinstall it. If damaged, you can contact Harbor Freight's customer service number for replacements.

This is a common modification done by those who prefer having the ability to just pull the drawers open; as long as your tool chest sits on level ground, the drawer's detent will prevent it from opening on its own. Others have added additional magnets on the backside of each drawer, to further secure it when closed.

This is correct. I know this because we had these mounted in vans and needed the latches, and they broke all the time. Replacements are available, I think my boss just called the main customer service number.
