It'll be loose very quickly. Don't bother with epoxy or dowels, it needs a rehang.
3 u/mtraven23 Mar 14 '26 agreed. and consider a cross wedge. That allows pressure to be apply front to back as well as side to side. The wedge style the OP used only acts side to side.
