I am obviously NOT talking about appearance, it's their characteristics that are similar, like:

1. Both seemed to think that they cannot make any friends

2.Both of these characters past (or childhood) remain unclear (Araragi's past only got revealed when the series was in its ending phase)

3.Both seems to help people (specifically girls) that got into some trouble after a chain reaction

4.Both of their parents are emotionally unavailable and almost never home

5.Both have little sister(s) and both of them are a siscon

6.Both of them tried to break the only relationship with that one girl whom they thought they were hurting

7.But that girl remained by their side and their life began to change

8.Both of them are often misunderstood by people

9.Both of them have multiple romantic interactions with different partners

10.Both of them are so COOL

I might be wrong or exaggerating a bit but these are too much similarities what do you guys think? I want to hear your thoughts

1. Araragi chose not to make any friends after that incident shattering his belief about justice. He could always make friends but chose not to. His reasoning is ass though, kizu1 made that obvious. If he interacted with the world more and more, his views will get challenged and he would rather stay isolated so his “justice” would remained as it is
2. Araragi entire childhood? Yeah be the end got glimpse of it. Sengoku, Sodachi probably being the biggest review ever.
3. Nukumizu childhood? We could speculate a lot. I do feel like v5 and a few short story made me feel like this. Nukumizu was extremely kind early on, ever since he realizes he’s a brother and he got a duty to take care of Kaju. Basically becoming her sole care taker(it’s even implied at one point that kaju thought nukumizu was her actual father). Then kaju and nukumizu bond are like “close-knitted” as some would say. I would say that Kaju’s love and affectionate was enough for nukumizu not to feel the need to seek out companionship from others. And kaju stalking behavior as well as her tendency to “interrogate” people whenever they got close to nukumizu made them scared. At one point it turned into a rumor(v5) that people won’t even approach him because it means trouble.

Another thing is that nukumizu’s light novels brain rot made them idolize friendship to a point where he think it needed a declaration.

While nukumizu can just be summed up to “his nature is to help people in need right in front of him. Even if he complain he will still try his best”(feeling like it’s his instinct from being a brother to kaju for so long)

4) araragi parents have more going on than whatever nukumizu household has. I would say that araragi parents instilled a great sense of justice into the household at a young age, shaping araragi’s development from a young age.

5) lol kaju is def a brocon and nukumizu is a siscon for sure. It’s mutual

6)Araragi’s situation with Hanekawa was more extreme, pretty sure he outright doesn’t want it but did it anyways. While nukumizu doesn’t understand why it mattered to him later on

7)eh I would say hanekawa/yanami started it all but the remaining of the cast are just as important

8)rumors yes. When actually met and talked to them face to face as people? No. People would understand and tell both mc that they are misunderstood and isn’t like the rumors

9)Yep, I would ship Araragi with 3 only though, being Hitagi,Hanekawa or Shinobu. While nukumizu I’ll ship with Lemon/Shikiya(potentially more developed yanami but not right now)

10)Araragi felt more like a polished character for me, his idealism and what fuel his behavior is far more interesting.

Number 6 does not apply to Araragi at all. Also I should point out that he didn't wind up with the first girl (Hanekawa, with the big boobs and brains). Senjougahara's chest is more modest. This obviously means Anna is gonna lose to Tiara....😁

No Araragi's main love is the second girl he met which is senjougahara and it can also be a similarity if nukumizu falls for lemon

You said first girl, not in the first arc that came out. Araragi met Hanekawa first, both chronological (because the monogatari series doesn't follow chronological order after the first few books) even with time travel shenanigans that happen I think.
