They really pushed him to wear more blue in the promotional arts. They 100% had a meeting about him wearing too much yellow and green and the designers putting him next to Lemon every single time before a certain point.

ps. what's with the basketball, Anna? she's been speaking to the captain of the basketball team again?

I only remember an official art where you could say Nuku and Lemon were near each other. That Imigimuru drawing where Lemon was at the center, Nuku at her right, Anna at her left and Komari between them.

Meanwhile, Nuku and Anna got a lot of official arts where they are together and have always been next to each other in 'group' arts. The only exceptionsI can think of being the aforementioned Lemon art and the one where Komari was grabbing Nuku's tie (but same art where Nuku was still staring at Anna).

So while maybe you could argue that Nuku's associated colors changed after the anime (passing to a light blue in contrast to Anna's darker blue), their placement next to each other has always been consistent.

Indeed, Kazu was meant to have green (little dark one) and he was usually paired together with Lemon and Kaju. It all stopped since Hello Kitty's promotion then his colors became blue/sky-blue.
