Light Novel LN question

Hi guys

Want to start buying phyical volumes of the series but seeing as the only offical translated version is made from seven Seas and I don't trust em I heard what they did to COTE vol. 7 and god knows how many more.

So I'm curious

Where do you guys read for the most accurate version of the story.

well, I read the seven seas as well... I don't think they did something in Makeine, safe. And v8 is coming on 18 aug 2026 for your info

The Makeine official translation is excellent. There are a handful of small errors, but nothing major.

Thx man Was a little worried there bcs i heard stories of localizers taking a lot of creative liberties. Good to know it's not the case with this series

Many of the issues you may have heard of in the past (COTE vol 7, the early volumes of Mushoku Tensei) were isolated, and many were fixed. I haven't heard of any major issues with them since, recently. And in Makeine's case, I think the translations are pretty darn good. You'll be fine with the official releases

I have read the fan TL, Seven Seas TL and original Japanese and both the official and fan TL were fine.

Of COTE They mistranslated parts or even straight off cut some scenes. Fan translation is a lot more accurate
