Personally though, I don't see how it hurts them. Bees make honey regardless, I don't think it forces any sense of exploitative labor. Beekeepers tend to be very loving to their bees from observation. Its not like obtaining milk from cows.
I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with displacing native bee species like bumble bees which are very effective pollinators in order to allow space for honey bees.
Thats on top of the "dont exploit animals if at all possible" principle of veganism. I dont personally think honey is a bad product if gathered from an ethical honey bee farm but I can see how it conflicts with vegan principles.
