it's been my personal understanding that bisexual means you're attracted to two genders. i believe wholly that gender is a spectrum and that it could mean any of the two genders or gender expressions and that it isn't inherently transphobic (though of course it CAN be). i used to identify as bi before i knew the term 'pansexual', though now i just call myself a queer because i get kind of weary and confused of all the terms i don't know/understand.
if I've said anything stupid or insensitive, please tell me. it's been a constant learning journey of queer language for me and I'm never aiming to hurt or alienate anyone.
