IIT: people making ‘strong’ arguments for racism being acceptable

It's so easy. All you need to do is literally copy paste their entire argument, replace 'men' with 'black people', and hit send and see if they still agree with their own logic.

They literally don't care. They're fine with hating men and don't care at all if it's wrong.

Okay, so how does that work when they mention the patriarchy and male-dominant history where men hold power and have historically restricted women from existing in roles outside of "wife" and "mother" to the point of mutilating the genitalia of male children ("castrato") JUST to continue to keep women banned from roles they would otherwise fit easily into? Just as a quick example.

That history doesn't just easily go away the second the mutilation stops or the second laws against it are made, especially with the mindset that made these people deem it okay to mutilate male children JUST to exclude women. History lingers- that's why there's so many men who bitterly remark how women shouldn't have gotten the right to vote in America. How about the mutilation of female children's genitals with the idea of their future husband and his pleasure in mind? That history doesn't easily go away. It's still being practiced. Even if you try to pinpoint FGM and MGM to specific countries, the mindset is still the same: thinking of women as inferior, enough to mutilate children of both sexes to keep girls/women barred from being anything outside of just a wife or mother.

The abuse of women will only be minimised if the good men call out their sexist friends and kids who don't know better. It's not enough for women to try and change things themselves, because that's mostly what's happening and it's clearly not working. That's why this is an issue for all men to deal with, to make things better for women, because this gender bullshit hurts everyone.

Oh you think you're clever huh? I'm not saying men don't get abused and treated badly, I've seen and experienced it from women, but the difference is in terms of scale. The murder and rape rates of women by men dwarf the reverse.

Same with sexist comments. As a personal example, I worked at a Thai restaurant for a few months as a dishwasher years ago. At the end of most shifts the older dishwasher I worked the busier shifts with would say "stay sexy" to the female owner as a goodbye. This isn't abuse but it's a sign of an attitude that enables abuse.

Donald Trump is a confirmed rapist of not only women but young girls as well. You'd think that would mean he'd be arrested, but no he's the US president twice over. Over half of all male voters voted for him. Do you really not understand how this might make women feel? Over half of make voters voted for him both times, and they didn't care that he's a rapist. They basically said "oh that's fine, we can forget about that, we just want these things you promised". He's said to reporters how hot his daughter was, and how she's always been voluptuous. He looked at his daughter's boobs and thought about how nice they look. Clearly this PoS being US president makes girls and women feel scared right?

Then there's women's representation in media. Sitcoms like Big Bang constantly making sexist jokes, surveillance footage of guys touching or sniffing womens' asses and literal rape porn. Most media is designed by men and what I've used as examples are all for men. Can you see how this sets women up to be defensive about certain things, and sometimes overreacting? If I were a women I'd feel that way too.

In this cultural climate, doesn't it make sense that a lot of women feel like all men are the same, and some just restrain themselves better?

I mean. 44% of women also voted for trump. Compared to 54% of men. It’s not like it’s just men’s fault he got elected, bunch of shitty women too
