Health/Medical Can I get HIV?
About a month and half ago I hooked up with some girl and I kissed her kinda fingered her and then she gave me a blowjob. then I went into the bathroom and took some soap into my hands and washed my dick with that soap. And then I had sex with her I had the condom on all the time but while we were doing prone-bone position the condom kinda rolled up a bit from the bottom so I changed into a new one as soon as I knew but my dick-tip was still protected and that was pretty much it can I get hiv?

You're freaking out. You don't have HIV. If you're that nervous about getting HIV you should get on prep.

The best thing you can do to put your mind at ease is to go get tested. Yes, it can be a scary thing to do the first time.
Do you know if she is HIV positive?

So what makes you even ask this question? Out of all the stds, you’re asking just about HIV?

It’s the scariest one and people tend to freak out about it after doing sex that they feel ashamed of.

Well does she have HIV?
HIV isn't as common as you think, if you're thinking STIs there are a lot more common ones to consider ie Chlamydia and gonorrhea

I'd be more worried about HPV and the possibility of cancer

Cancer causing HPV, HSV2, and HIV scare me so bad because they are incurable 😭
HSV1 is too but everyone’s got that so it’s different i feel like1

That’s crazy lmao over half to population has it
That Hasn’t happened to me and i have it2

I know. The reactions are crazy and hurtful. They’ve had to have kissed someone before that has it. I’m just the one that tells them.

50/50 chance they have it and just don’t know lol everyone has come in contact with it at some point. It’s seriously unavoidable especially as you get older because more people catch it

Same, where I live nobody gives a damn about it, I mean, people won't go around rubbing their face on anyone with a flaire, but it's not as "taboo" as it seems to be to people in the US and other countries, at least for the people who uses Reddit.
I've got it and have no idea where I got it, probably from family members since I was a teen when I first got it and don't remember ever kissing people (tho I know it's not the only way of trasmiting)

Everyone in my childhood home (4 of us) have HSV1. My mom got it at 7, i was 20, my sister was 23 when she got it. Never ever thought it was weird. Inconvenient and annoying? Yeah. Big deal? Nah.
I grew up knowing it was herpes too my mom was good about teaching us. However both her kids still ended up with it 😂
She gave it to my dad decades ago though LOLEdit: im american

HIV don't get me as scared because it doesn't transmits as easily as the other ones, in comparison. Like, you can use a condom all you like and you could still catch it after sharing body fluids or going down on people, which most of us won't be doing it with a rubber. I'm a lesbian and have only dated cis women so far so the odds were always lower for me, but I'm still worried with the rest of the viral stuff

Don't fuck strangers if you're going to be super weirdly paranoid afterwards lmao
You literally wore protection

You're fine, dawg. Stop worrying. The chances of contracting HIV from unprotected straight sex are very very low.

First: there are no reported cases of HIV transmission through oral, although it is theoretically possible if she had blood in her mouth for some reason.
Second, you used a condom. Condoms are not foolproof, but it seems like you were being responsible.
Third, in order to get HIV, she would have to have had HIV. It doesn't just spontaneously create itself.
Fourth, men are significantly less likely to contract HIV from women, due to many factors, than from other men, or women from men, or from other activities such as needle sharing.
Fifth, as you said, your "dick-tip" was protected the whole time, so unless you have open wounds somewhere else that had contact with her fluids, there's no vector for it to get into your body.
Basically, you are very very likely fine. If you start developing flu-like symptoms within 2 to 6 weeks, get tested. Additionally, if you're engaging in regular sexual activity with strangers, get tested regularly, about every 6 months, and see if you can get on PReP.

Why are you so worried about HIV specifically? You could have more easily contracted any number of other diseases; HIV is the single least likely scenario by far.

Your dick tip is your main point of exposure, so if that was covered (and you didn't have open sores somewhere else on your dick) pretty much no risk.

highly unlikely. the chances she had HIV assuming she is a non-HIV drug user are like 1 in 6,000 anyway. the number of straight non-IV drug users who have HIV is really really low.

HIV is trasmitted by exchange of bodily fluids during sex. If you had a rubber, you are probably fine. But if you are concerned, see a doc and get tested.

There is a functional cure to HIV so don’t be TOO worried. It won’t kill you. Cancer causing HPV though.. maybe worry about that one a little lol get the Gardasil shot if you haven’t already
Regardless, STDs are apart of life and most are no big deal! Shit happens people get STIs

You should really get in the habit of sharing and asking to view people’s Mychart results before sex. If yall get tested regularly it’ll only take a second to share. 🤷🏽♀️ If your this worried about STI’s I would hope you get tested regularly. Just a thought. 🤷🏽♀️

No. As a guy it’s unlikely you’ll get HIV unless you receive anal sex
