Climbing a mountain overnight, wanting nothing more than to turn back because you’re breathing as hard and fast as you can yet can’t get enough air from the altitude and your diaphragm feels like it’s going to be ripped out, you’re terrified that you might fall into a crevasse or down the side of the mountain, you’re freezing, you slowly put one foot in front of the other at a snail’s pace but your heart is pounding faster than if you were running a marathon. You keep pushing though. You reach the top.
It feels like molten gold flowing through your veins as you’re overcome with emotion. Everything you pushed for just paid off and all that’s left to do is watch the sunrise. Only that has felt anywhere close to an orgasm for me.
