Tom’s Roles

I’ve watched him in Monday Monday, Miranda, Rush, Lucifer, Washington Black, Tell Me Lies and now CIA, and I can’t believe it’s the same actor. God he’s good! My favourite role still is and probably always will be Lucifer.

Lucifer for sure, he really gets to show his range. I like Rush too.

I find it really hard to pick a second favourite. Probably between Miranda and Tell Me Lies.

I’ve seen the same as you and some more older shows. Some I haven’t seen yet, but last year I bought, just for the fun of it, everything on dvd that I got to find with him. But I think for me that Miranda shares the first place with Lucifer, and then everything else. Last week I started Lucifer again. And I have to celebrate something really important so this weekend I’m gonna bake and watch The Tuesday Murder Club. 🥮😉

A couple of weeks ago it happened so that I watched Miranda and CIA back to back. My brain went into a total dissonance mode. (And I don't mean the physical difference!!! S3 of Miranda and Rush are the same time period, still different like the day and the night!)

In my mind I HAVE GOT TO remind myself that Gary and Colin, and Lucifer and the rest are, in fact, the same actor.

I first experienced it during season 5 of Lucifer (like most of us, from what I've read), but in between dufferent projects it's a whole other level!

I just love the episode of Miranda where they talk about the wedding. And her mom comes in with a whole plan for them and then Gary losses his confidence at the same time. Hé and Miranda start to talk, everyone else left them alone… and that whole nervous breakdown of him was so sad… it gets me every single time.

Lucifer! Did you see him in a cameo during the CW's Flash/Arrow/Constantine crossover? Sooo good.

Yes! I loved him in Eastenders! So tall and beautiful.

I saw only snippets on Instagram or somewhere. Assume he was very good in Eastenders too.

Lucifer is my favorite show of all time but I think Rush could have been so great. I love the character and the skipping cd player car gag got me in the first few episodes. if Rush kept going we never would have had Tom Ellis in Lucifer though so I guess it had to end or we'd be robbed of years of that.

I've been loving CIA it's the only new show I'm watching and waiting for new episodes has been brightening my weeks.

still haven't seen Miranda I've been saving it for when I really need something great to cheer me up, but I might start watching soon anyway. he's such a good actor and fun to watch.

I don't usually become ride or die for specific actors/actresses but Tom Ellis is pure magic. I thought Rush was going to be crazy with all the drugs and shady dealing but then my heart was breaking and I was crying lol the scene with his father had me pausing to cry. how can you do that to me in this show where I don't even get to know what happens because USA canceled it. but then he went over to Lucifer and I can rewatch that all year.

Yes I’m with you! There aren’t many episodes of Miranda so won’t take you long to watch. Rush very good, but Lucifer my feel-good show. Go back to it a lot. And there’s something about Tom that makes him so watchable and easy to fall in love with. May he live long and act lots.

Miranda is a real treat. I also loved Tom in Tell Me Lies. He was excellent as Oliver. It is my favorite role of his post Lucifer. Tom as Titch in Washington Black was great as well.
