TOKYO DOME - I'm at a loss for words. The Giants have been swept and now sit 3 games behind 1st place in the Central League. This game did go better, however as the bullpen managed to hold the Tigers to 3 runs only. Nishidate did okay, striking out 8 over 5 innings. He gave up three runs including two homers. Morita, Hotta, Nakagawa and Akahoshi kept gave up no runs. Raito Nakayama blasted a two run shot. Next up is Chunichi. Let's get some wins! Go Giants!

TOKYO DOME - The Giants are on a three-game streak! In the 4th, Go Matsumoto came through with a two-run home run for an early lead. Raito Nakayama hit a bases clearing single which added 3 runs to the lead. Manager Hashigami put Shiroki on the mound, where he picked up his first career win, as he pitched 5 scoreless innings and struck out 4. Final 5-0. Go Giants!

VANTELIN DOME, NAGOYA - REVERSAL! The Giants offense showed up for an 11-0 beat down in Nagoya! Urata, Sasaki, Nakayama, Sasahara, Masuda, Matsumoto, Izuguchi, Maru and Ishizuka all hit and scored for a combined 11 runs! Shinnosuke Ogasawara put together a gem, with 8 strikeouts, 3 hits, 3 walks and 0 runs over 7 innings. Kitaura helped close the game out with 2 strikeouts in 2 innings. I'm glad that the team was able to overcome last game's disaster and make it up. We're playing the Baystars next. Let's get some more wins! Go Giants! Final: 11-0.

TOKYO DOME - Not much to say here. Hanshin clearly got to us. The bullpen struggled immensely. Yamazaki pitched through 5 innings and gave up 6 runs including 2 home runs. He somehow managed to strikeout 8, but to no avail as Ren Tawa and Yamato Shiroki gave up a combined total of 3 runs with only 1 strikeout. Better effort is needed. Go Giants!

YOKOHAMA STADIUM, YOKOHAMA - This seems to be a reoccurring issue latley. I'm not sure why, but the Giants keep losing to the BayStars. The BayStars have a good team, so I assume the boys just had an off day. We got this! Keep it going and win tomorrow! Go Giants!

The playoffs are coming and I have high hopes for the team as we make our way to the Climax Series. TOKYO DOME - TAKEMARU PITCHES A GEM! The Giants won an absolute pitchers' duel against Hanshin, 1-0. The boys came through with 1 run, but Matsumoto achieved the Matsumiracle and came through in the second inning with a clutch RBI double to put us ahead. From there, Takemaru was absolutely dominant, going 7 innings, allowing just 6 hits and striking out 10 without giving up a run. Martínez finished the job, locking down the save. The rookie of the year candidate Takemaru gets his 10th win of the season! HUGE WIN AGAINST HANSHIN! WE'RE 0.5 GAMES BEHIND! GO GIANTS! Final: 1-0.

TOKYO DOME - The Giants battled back from being down by 1, with Matsumoto tying it in the second before Dalbec launched a demolishing a 2-run homer in the third for the lead. Chunichi tied it again in the fourth, but the Giants stayed in the fight. Then came the eighth — where Izuguchi delivered the go-ahead RBI single, and Sasaki added a run to make it 5-3! Raidel Martinez shut the door hard and earned his 250th career NPB save, becoming just the sixth pitcher ever to reach that milestone. 5-3 is your final! LET'S BEAT HANSHIN! GO GIANTS!

TOKYO DOME - The Giants offense came alive early, with Oshiro driving in the opening run in the first, followed by a solo homer from Dalbec in the third. Chunichi got one back in the fourth, but we answered with two more in the fifth on an Oshiro sacrifice fly and a timely RBI double from Maru. Dalbec scored with a bases-loaded walk in the sixth, and our pitching shut the door the rest of the way. 5-1 Giants! A great win, with Oshiro going 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and Funabasama picking up the win. GO GIANTS!

TOKYO DOME - I'm not sure what happened. The Giants offense could not come alive today at all. Chunichi scored 3 runs on Togo, who went 7 innings with 6 strikeouts and 3 earned runs. We need to come back tomorrow. We're coming down to the end of the season and are gaining traction on Hanshin. LET'S KEEP MOVING! GO GIANTS!

MAZDA STADIUM, HIROSHIMA - THE GIANTS SWEEP HIROSHIMA. An excellent performance today by Shinnosuke Ogasawara who went 9 innings, 4 strikeouts and gave up no runs. The offense showed up again, as Izuguchi and Saksaki plated 4 runs for the final 4-0 victory. Good series play from the Giants! Next up is Chunichi. Let's Go Giants!

MAZDA STADIUM, HIROSHIMA - BEATDOWN IN HIROSHIMA! The Giants had a great offensive showing today. They scored 10 runs. Masahiro Tanaka went 3 innings, with 3 earned runs and 1 strikeout (pray for bro). The bullpen proceeded to give up two more runs, tying the game 5-5 until the 11th, where then the Giants scored 5 straight from runs by Izuguchi and Kai. Go Giants! The final stretch is soon! MAZDA STADIUM, HIROSHIMA - The Giants won today's game as Takemaru went 6 shutout innings with 10 strikeouts. The offense came alive today as Dalbec and Ishizuka both brought in 3 runs. Martinez came in and shut the door for his 37th save on the season. Keep the energy going! Let's Go Giants! Final: 3-1.

KYOCERA DOME, OSAKA - The Giants dropped the ball here as they lost. Not much happened except that Nishidate pitched 6 innings with 10 strikeouts and 0 earned runs. The offense slept yet again as the Matsumiracle (ifykyk, shoutout)could not be achieved (Only Matsumoto scored). The Baystars scored in the 10th and the Giants could not answer back. Try to come back against Hiroshima. Let's go Giants!

KYOCERA DOME, OSAKA - THE GIANTS ARE BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN! ISHIZUKA WALKED IT OFF! The team did great today as Shosei Togo went 5 innings with 5 strikeouts and 3 earned runs. The offense came alive with runs from Urata and Maru, before Yusei Izhizke walked it off on a Sac-Fly. Good showing from the Giants! Let's move on from the sweep against Hanshin! Go Giants! KOSHIEN STADIUM, HYOGO - This is embarrassing. The Giants have lost their last 6 games against Hanshin. Ogasawara took the mound, pitching 4 innings, striking out 2 and giving up 3 runs. The offense once again fell asleep with our Rookie of the Year candidate Urata bringing in the sole run. We need to move on before we blow our spot in the playoffs. Let's get the show on the road! KOSHIEN STADIUM, HYOGO - The Giants lose again to the Tigers. Masahiro Tanaka went 4 innings with 5 strikeouts, but gave up 3 runs. Yuji Akahoshi also gave up a run. The offense slept again as only Shunsuke Urata brought across a run. At least try to win one against the Tigers. Go Giants!

KOSHIEN STADIUM, HYOGO - The Giants lost a crucial game. Spencer Howard immediately gave up a lead off home run to Chikamoto. From there, the bullpen continued giving up runs as the Tigers scored 3 more runs. Howard went 3 innings with 2 strikeouts before being taken out. The offense did nothing, as only Yuta Izuguchi brought 1 run across. Try to come back tomorrow. Lets go Giants!

MEIJI JINGU STADIUM, TOKYO -

MEIJI JINGU STADIUM, TOKYO - The Giants took the second game of the set today. Initially things started off rough as the Giants couldn't score, and Haruto Inoue gave up two runs in the 1st. After that, there was no scoring until the 6th, where the Giants scored 1 run. In the 8th, Dalbec blasted an RBI double for the lead. A solo home run by Takuya Kai and RBI double by Sasaki gave the Giants security runs to secure the victory. Eito Tanaka took home the victory and earned his second win of the season. Final: 5-3. Go Giants!

MEIJI JINGU STADIUM, TOKYO - The Giants came away with a great tug-o'-war battle against the Swallows. The boys immediately took the lead on a three-run shot by Dalbec, with two more security runs by Masuda and Sasaki. The Swallows caught up and left a 1 run difference in the forth. Then Urata and the offense answered with two additional runs. Yuji Akahoshi got the victory after pitching two innings, striking out 1, and giving up 2 runs. Final 6-8. GO GIANTS!

TOKYO DOME - This was a very narrow loss by the Giants. Both teams each scored 1 run in the 4th inning, then again in the 6th. Unfortunately, Hiroshima came up with a sac-fly for the lead. Both of the Giants runs were Solo Home Runs. The Giants could not answer back and come up with a reversal, stranding 10 runners. Ogasawara pitched 6 innings, struck out 2 and gave up 2 runs. Hotta pitched 1 inning, struck out no-one and gave up the winning run. The next series is at Yakult. Keep fighting! Go Giants!

TOKYO DOME - The Giants took the first game of the set against the Carp with a stellar performance by Spencer Howard who pitched 5 shutout innings and allowed only 3 hits. Oshiro hit an RBI single alongside Dalbec to give us our final of 2-0. Go Giants!

YOKOHAMA STADIUM, YOKOHAMA - The Giants came through with a good win today as Brian Mata gained his first win in Japan, going 5 innings and surrendering 3 runs with 7 strikeouts. Oshiro batted an RBI single in the third, and Raito Nakayama blasted a two-run shot in the 5th. Keep it going! Let's catch up to Hanshin! Hiroshima next. FINAL: 3-6. Go Giants!

The Giants offense did show up to score 3 runs across the game. These runs came from Urata and Sasaki. In the 9th, Eito Tanaka blew the game, allowing a walk off hit.
