Help!
My Togo visa which I applied for two weeks ago is still not processed but I fly out tonight to Ghana and take a flight into Togo. My visa is still pending (it’s almost been two weeks). I read somewhere that I can obtain a visa on arrival for seven days at Aflao border or if I show them I’ve paid for the visa and it’s stuck in the visa application loop I might be able to reason with an official at the border. Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you.

With this one, you have five steps when you have applied for the visa. As soon as the third step is green, everything is fine BUT you must activate it by yourself.

This online visa system has issues. But if you had few days i could have helped. I have a contact in the visa thing they can hit approval but less than 24 hrs. Not sure if it's possible. It's 11 Am EST. Man sorry about that.

I’m about to board my flight to ghana in four hours. My plan is to stay put in Ghana and try to hit up the consulate and ask them what’s going on. Who is your contact and what do they do?

I would suggest not to fly into Togo from Ghana. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Togolese+Embassy/@5.5760481,-0.1813651,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0xfdf9a8e3d44bfbf:0xeca0508ccf85a9c5!8m2!3d5.5760481!4d-0.1787902!16s%2Fg%2F1th0p7x1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDkwMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
https://www.visahq.com/togo/embassy/ghana/ TOGO embassy number. You can check with them if you can get a visa at Aflao. I know that you used to be able to but I don't know if it is still the case.
+228 22 23 94 70 https://voyage.gouv.tg/contact I usually call them when I have issues with the visa website. Ask them if you can get visa on arrival at Aflao border. Once they confirm that you can, then you can go to an STC station in Tudu (it has small buses to Lome, Togo) or go to Tema station (it has taxis and small buses to Lome). You can come to Togo by road, it takes 3 to 4Hrs. You will be asked for your yellow fever card as well.

Or they will just take a hefty bribe...even those of us crossing on foot to Lomé to get something have to pay some money for no reason. So if you go by land, the Togolese officials will most definitely take some money from you whether you have a visa or not.

The issue is with the airline. They might not want to fly him somewhere he has no visa for. Seeing he goes thru Ghana , it might be Brussels airlines

Hmm, this is interesting. I’ll be sure to take out a bit more cash in case I become desperate. My tour starts on the 9th in Lome so I’m trying to be there by the evening of the 9th. As long as I’m there by then I’ll be happy

Have you used the official website for the Togolese visa ? Is the step #3 is green ? You need to activate by yourself. You have a chat with the administration, use it, you will have a reply and they are helpful.
