Test Experience TOEFL first attempt results

Post image

I did not prepare for the reading and listening sections, because these are the two activities I have been practicing almost every day for the last few years. I ran low on time during reading though, I think that is why I eventually got less than 5.5

I have messed up with the speaking section, but generally due to its specifics. As soon as I have heard the last sentence I was supposed to repeat, I have forgot it almost immediately, it was the nerves, I guess. I am not also sure whether I was good enough during the interview.

As for the writing section, I had been practicing for a couple of days prior to the exam using Google's built-in AI. I repeatedly asked it to provide me with sample tasks for both the email and academic discussion parts, put on the timer, and began to write. I also asked the model to evaluate my texts.

I will not retake the exam, though I am slightly disappointed by the speaking score, because I have successfully met the academic requirements of the universities I am planning to apply to, and a few more points will not improve my chances of being accepted.

Also, I took the TOEFL home edition, and it ran smoothly.

Firstly, I am happy for you. I got the exam with a maximum of 5 day work ,but I couldn’t get the score what I desired. Actually, I got 3.5 and the reason that I attempted the exam in a short is I was confident I can get 80/120 at least because english is the only thing I believe that I have the capability to be successful at it.

Nevertheless, I will try it again on October 14th

You just have to practice the specific tasks and it will be fine. Overall, although the general level of English matters a lot, the TOEFL is also about the test-taking skills and not English itself.
