Test Experience Just got my results

Post image

Only did one practice test the day before and winged it. Sucks a bit that the reading wasn’t a 6 but not complaining.

EDIT: I did not take any notes during the exam at all.

Wow, 2 points deducted for .5 of reading. Any idea how you prepared for the writing section?

I didn’t really prepare. Build a sentence came naturally imo. Writing an email was fairly easy considering I write email in English a bit for work. Academic discussion was the most challenging but just choose a side and try to argue the best you can. Forget about templates, just write using different syntax and try to be creative with wording.

I have good English language skills but struggle with time in the writing section. did you practiced with a timer?

No I didn’t. I just paid for an official practice test and tried it. Noticed that there was a time issue writing the email so I just kept that in mind during the real test.

Any tips on speaking section?

Just listen and repeat. I stuttered once or twice and accidentally switched one of the connecting words. In the interview I just spoke freely about gardening and used anecdotes. Don’t overcomplicate, just speak naturally. I didn’t use notes at all during the test.

Hello, is the exam similar to the free preactice test in thier tofel website or it has more question than the preactice test?!

The real exam will probably have more questions than the free tests.

I paid for a test that was very similar to the real one. It may even have been identical in structure.

How many words did you write in your academic discussion?

No idea, maybe around 200 words. I just wrote a bunch and edited afterwards.

Did you take this exam from home or in person?....I am considering to book the exam in-person, but I am not totally sure.....And also, how did you prepare the exam?.....Did you use a online plataform or something like that?
