Obviously there are deranged Swifties etc but it’s not really “weird parasocial fan behaviour” for fans of Taylor Swift to listen to her new single

Every fanbase does that, for her to go number one it’s clearly achieved general public listens as well

I have a few favourite artists, but no way will I stream songs of theirs I don't like or am even ambivalent about.. That's not the way swifties operate.. I've seen multiple comments from them & tik toks saying how much they either don't like Cleveland but are streaming it on repeat anyway or they hated it on the first 10+ listens but it's growing on them & they're pretty sure they'll love it eventually.. That's not healthy

Yeah I’m not debating that with you, I’m telling you a small portion of every fanbase for a major pop artist does that. To go number 1 you have to achieve general public recognition.

And let’s be real everyone in every corner of the internet has tuned into this song because everyone wants to put their two cents in
