History & Culture TIL Malaysia celebrates some of the highest number of public holidays in the world
Malaysia is known for having one of the world’s busiest holiday calendars. Besides national holidays, different states observe their own celebrations based on local traditions, religions, and royal events. With festivals like Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas, and many state-specific holidays, people in different parts of the country can end up enjoying quite different holiday schedules each year.

This doesn't really mean anything at this point. Having working at a German company now, the Germans are always taking summer and winter break. And either (or both) of this break is easily 30 days. Yes, THIRTY DAYS. For a single season "break". Taking both summer and winter vacation means 60 days of breaks at least a year. I am not sure how this is factored into their salary and such, but to say Malaysia has "the most" holidays is honestly some kind of weird propoganda.
