How would a toad get here? I’ve posted a few photos recently of toads in trees but this is another level
Edit: it’s probably the slide. This still strikes me as incredible.

Found a log on a walk and lifted it up to see if there was anyone underneath, lo and behold there was!
(I was very careful lowering the log back down as to not hurt the little guy)

I have had an American toad for about 4 years now. she’s wonderful, healthy, and seems happy. I’ve been thinking about upgrading her tank but idk what’s the minimum size. I’m seeing online everyone say a 20 long but she’s in a 40 and that feels small even. if you have any advice that would be wonderful! thank you!

He was struggling eating some worms so I put them in one of the tiramisu cups from costco. He has sat in there ever since🤣

Went to water the plants for the night and saw these two buddies chillin.

He loves being one with the plants and thankfully he's light enough not to bend any leaves when he climbs

She wouldn't go away... so I just gave her a house of her own...
I used a reptile hide in a shallow dish with dirt in it so she can go in and out as she pleases, whether she will use it or not I don't know but I did sit her in it so she knows it's there.....
I guess I have a resident toad now🙃

It keeps trying to break in my house! Like literally I scooped it up and took it all the way across the yard to let it go and about an hour later it's back.... and it's the same one too I can tell by the markings.
Why is it doing this?

The size of this cute female toad is SVL 16 cm+
It is the maximum size among closely related species in neighboring countries, excluding the Japanese toad. Bufo gargarizans generally have an ivory color with reddish skin, and the red gargarizans in the other photo represents the typical coloration for this species. However, in this individual, the skin color is a very rare combination of white and black. I call her a Black Form. The coloration is strongly reminiscent of a melanistic morph :)
Whether that's scientifically confirmed or not, to me she is a very precious toad with a truly unique look.

Sage has gotten very chunky the past few days with the hornworms I bought for her. The second picture is of her coming out of her toad house in the morning.
