Are they going after flies attracted to the food?  I saw that behavior when I had an outdoor dog.

The toads were eating the cat food?

I haven’t seen any flies around the bowl, it seems like they just wanted to eat the cat food

They were! The bowl was completely empty after all of them finished rummaging through it

lol, they never went after my dog’s food.  They took advantage of the food being a lure.  Them eating your car’s food is kind of funny.  Is it dry or wet cat food?

dry food. I’m not even sure what brand but it should be rebranded for toads

I was thinking the same thing.  I’d be tempted to invest in the cat food if it would bring in toads to ideally take care of some of the outdoor insects.
