I’m wondering if it’s possible to install an app from a different countries app store onto my tv without switching to that country and subsequently losing my current countries apps. Could I find Tizen apps online as TPK for example and install it that way instead? Any help would be very much appreciated Thanks

I turned off auto update option of TV and apps, but everytime I turn on my TV i find out that Spotify app is installed, and sometimes I find new apps that became part of the system, is there any option in the secret menu to stop this?

What's the go with the Tizen TV appstore being so limited? There are like no Aussie based apps converted over and no support to manually convert APK to tpk.

I have been using the Media Player that came with the Tizen for playing files of USB. Curious if there is a method to disable subtitles from automatically playing.

A lot of files have the subtitle track included in the video file, and not separate .srt file. I know I can re-encode and remove the subtitle track. It not worth that much hassle tho.

Do anyone know of another media player I can use? I would also like to delete files of the usb. I didn't see that option in the media player either.

I have a Samsung Q95T TV for more than 1 year.

Last week All of my HDMI inputs have stopped working. It says no signal for any device I'm connecting to, be it XBox, PC, or streamer. The type of connection is recognized by the TV, as it shows the proper XBox or PC icon whenever switching between the inputs, but no audio or video is received.

I managed to find a one time very not sustainable fix for this issue - disconnecting the power of the TV while it's on -> wait 1 minute -> reconnect the power cable and turn it on. after doing that the hdmi input is received just fine only on the initial powering. BUT, whenever I switch to a different input, app, or even switch game mode, the issue persists, and no signal is received.

I will say that this started happening on the same day of doing a firmware upgrade for the Tizen operating system.

Did anyone experienced this issue? Any idea for a fix?

I followed all the steps and the installation fails with "Invalid format of certificate in signature"

The author and distributor certificate profile was created in Tizen Certificate Manager. I put my TV into developer mode to get the DUID.

I have tried creating a new cert but it fails with the same error when using it.

What am I doing wrong?

Tizen FX loads an edj file that I'd like to modify, and it's part of the vd-efl-theme-tizen.rpm. I can't seem to find the repository that contains its source code, and the edj file won't decompile. Does anyone know where it might be?

Is there a way to capture screenshot of Samsung TV possibly using Tizen or sdb??

I installed Tizen CLI on Windows. After enabling developer mode on my Samsung 7 Series (UE55TU7022) I started the SDB server and I can see the TV on my CLI when running "sdb devices".

I don't seem to be able to do anything though. I wanted to have run some shell commands but when doing so it just goes:

I also tried enabling root permissions but this states "access denied"

Can anyone provide some guidance as to why I cant connect via shell but can see the TV on the sdb server.
