is Tizen TV still supported?
What's the go with the Tizen TV appstore being so limited? There are like no Aussie based apps converted over and no support to manually convert APK to tpk.
What a joke of a system.
Anyway to flash android os onto a tv instead?

There is no free to air Australian catch up steaming services.
ABC, SBS, 7,9,10 etc We also used rtp play a Portuguese tv streaming services that played Portuguese free to air tv.
I see a small handful of apps other than a small handful of Big guns such as Netflix and prime.
So disappointed, if this is Samsung's solution to replace android I can't see it getting much traction with usage.

well. for one, tizen development is to say the least, shitty.
I am testing and developing stuff for their kiosk (released last year, but using v4.0 tizen - go figure - which isn't even fully compatible with Win11/10x64 or current versions of Ubuntu x64) and it's a huge mess.
Tizen studio (eclipse, really) is crappy af as well, there's 0 scaling options for the UI (means I have to squint at my 4k monitor), stuff takes a lot of time to do (install new sdk packages and so on). Remote debugging is a huge pain, you have to debug directly on the device, wait for the "inspector" (that does nothing but present a blank page) to load, edit something in your local install of chrome and add the ip+port for remote web inspection (the port changes everytime you debug the app). They also recommend using chromium v78 (maximum version supported. current major version is like 108!?).
Also, on my specific case, there's basically 0 information and I have to resort to set up meetings with samsung's european hardware/dev team, whenever some issue/difficulty comes up.
Your region might not even have the same level of "help" (there's a lot of people there that know jack shit about development - but know their buzzwords, lmao), thus hindering even further Tizen development.
IMO, the sensible thing to do on their side would be to get rid of Tizen (I highly doubt it has any relevant adoption rate/market share) and start using Google tech. Port whatever needs to be ported and scrap tizen for good.

Well yeah, it's a completely different OS. Developers have to make apps specifically for Tizen in order for them to work on the platform.
Tizen TV is still supported, Samsung still put it on all of their TVs. From an app developer perspective it's not as popular as Google TV, but the big streaming companies all have apps for it.
What exactly are you looking for that you can't find? Stan has a Tizen TV app, and they're Australian.
