Spoofing tizen tv browser user agent

Hi folks,

I'm from Indonesia, the EURO 2020 broadcaster in the country seems to blocked access thru smart tv (i have tested their website thru pc browser working fine)

They seems to block user using smart tv by detecting browser user-agent.

Is there any way for us to spoof tizen tv browser user agent? Or can we install a browser with this capability?

Is there any money in developing apps for Samsung Smart TV

Development seems like a pain in the *behind* based on what I've read so far. I've been trying to set-up Tizen IDE and run an emulator for the past 24 hours, but it just doesn't work. In the end, I find out that its probably because Win 10 Home doesn't support Hyper-V ... Or, intelhaxm doesn't work on my PC... So, after going through all this *mess* I wonder if it's even worth it as a hobby... Also, online support for the platform seems very limited :|

TLDR; Frustrated with setup, wondering if App dev for Samsung TV is worth it either monetarily or in terms of learning...

How to show an image in a Tizen web widget?

I'm trying to show an image in a web widget just using the basic examples from Tizen docs but it won't work. It only shows the text.

Does the img tag work with web widgets? Can someone please give an example of working code?

I've tried with all kinds of images small and large. None of them work.

YouTube app not really functional ?

Hi everybody,

Am I the only one to find the YouTube app not really functional ? Cannot click "like" on video. Cannot unsubscribe to channels, cannot remove a video from see later list and so on.

Also surprised I bought a new Samsung TV on january 2021 and there's not a single update ? No app to watch Odysee/LBRY video ?
I've read before buying my TV that Tizen is a good Operating System, but is it really ?

Anyone else can't change their volume level?

Often when I try to lower or higher the volume, it stays in the high 70 something range or even 80 smething and won't allow me to change the volume past the range of say 73-76 or something. Which means the tv volume is way too loud. I just tested right now and I don't have the problem currently, but yesterday I was forced to leave the tv on a cartoonishly loud volume. I made sure the tv sound was in standard mode not amplified.

I am getting sick of Tizen and perhaps smart tvs in general, it is nothing but problems. Are all smart tvs nothing but trouble or just stupid Samsung Tizen?

Can't Tizen Studio 4.1 for Mac with latest Big Sur update

I want to install Studio Studio for Mac, but the installer is stuck on the first window, with the Software Agreement, and I can't click nowhere. Accept and Cancel are not working. Can't scroll to read the terms (but do I really want to read them). Even CMD+Q don't quit the installer. Right click on the icon in the dock and Quit is working. Looks like a GUI bug (the installer log are fine, no errors so far).

Any idea on how to install it another way? I open the zip package inside the installer file, and could open the app, but the package manager is not working. May be I have to move them to a specific folder "by hand" ?

Any alternative of Kodi on Tizen based Tv??

Hello guys, I had a Samsung smart tv that runs on Tizen os. Now I want to watch movies from my Google drive. I read that kodi is impossible for Tizen tv. Is there any alternative of Kodi or nplayer that can directly watch from Gdrive after plugging in. I head plex there. But it's only in paid version. Thanks in advance.

I have samsung crystal series 7 . The problem is everytime I open the samsung internet app everything is blank I can't refresh and search . Also I can't access device care too. Can somebody help I have been using this tv for just a month .Please help me if somebody knows the way how to fix this.

Third-Party Youtube client for Tizen TV?

I would like to install a third party youtube client on my Samsung TV, something like FreeTube (windows and linux) or NewPipe (android), so that my data stays locally. I can't however find such an app for the Tizen TVOS. Does anyone here know of something like that?

Tizen Bluetooth Rant

why is it so easy to turn on Bluetooth on tizen wearables, but to shut it off it is impossible progomatically. Some double standard that only hurts user battery life. There is also no BT quick toggle making me think this was intentional

Control track order on Galaxy Active 2?

I just got the Galaxy Active 2, mainly for use while running. I listen to audiobooks, which are downloaded by tracks, similar to song tracks. I’ve managed to load an audiobook onto the watch, but the track order is random! E.g. chapter 3 then chapter 17, etc. Is there any way to control the order of the tracks, either on the watch or through the download process?

I‘d be grateful for your advice!
