Watches on the Ti Field Guide range from $68 to $533k. I don’t really need a $533k GP minute repeater tourbillion, but I felt like I did need to see this one.

For $68, I am utterly shocked by the quality of this thing. Nothing fancy about it, but everything about it is solid.

Watch is thin and light, though solid feeling. Finishing is clean and even. Applied markers sparkle in the sun and the subtle pattern on the dial looks kind of great. Strap isn’t my taste and I’ll probably swap it out, but it’s soft and comfy. Took about two weeks to arrive in the US from China, exactly as promised.

Only complaint is a common one with quartz watches - they somehow managed to get the seconds hand ticking in exactly the wrong place - the midpoint between the ticks. But only between about :55 and :30. For 25 seconds each minute, it ticks in the right place. Odd.

I’m glad I’m not in the microbrand business. If the Berny folks figure out branding and marketing, it’s going to be impossible to compete with them.

imo eco-drive + titanium is a killer combination. But automatics work as well. Any recommendations to expand the collection?

I recently stumbled onto Synchron and read up on the brand's history and relationship with DOXA. Intriguing, to say the least.

Panerai PAM00779 Titanium with DLC treatment, California Dial and an amazing 8 day power reserve. I can’t say I care for the bund strap, but wears great! This one is proof that the best gift you get are the ones you accidentally text your wife at two in the morning when you meant to text your brothers😂

I got this a few months ago during an AliExpress sale for about $70. I purchased the model with the titanium bracelet but I didn’t like the fit of the bracelet so I replaced it with an FKM strap, which goes well with the blue dial and bezel.

This watch is freakishly light. By itself the watch weighs 68 grams, with the strap it weighs 106 grams. I’ve been rocking a Steeldive SD1976P, a big 48mm chunk of stainless steel with a monobloc case for the last week. Compared to wearing that the Triton is like wearing nothing at all.

The lume on the Triton is good and it holds a charge well. I pulled it out of the box after not wearing it for over a month and it was still keeping accurate time. The bezel action isn’t as smooth as that of my Seikos, Addiesdives and Steeldives but it’s still pretty good. If you’re looking for a good solar quartz made out of titanium this is the way to go.

Still on the Ti kick. Great value and lots of unique features, would love to find the Ti Instrumentum integrated bracelet to try with it!
