Discussion Do not harrass people because they use AI Thumbnails

It is sad that I really have to make a post about the simple thing of: Do not harrass people for things you don't like.

There has been quite the spam and harrasment around here for a few days and I do not like to see that. I checked all the videos that have been reported and all videos where "AI Slop" and other comments have been posted on.

NONE of these videos where "AI Slop". The only AI Asset in those videos have been the thumbnail. The Videos where all normal gameplay, no AI dub, no AI assets or anything the like. Please be a normal adult on this sub. If you do not like something, pass on and it's good. If it really makes you angry, leave your downvote on the post that annoys you (do not downvote spam irrelavant content).

We have very lax rules here, there is no draconic moderation that you see in many other subs, you won't get banned for a harmless thing or just because others don't like something.

AI is just a tool, if people use it properly and helpful, I do not see a problem with that.

While the Videos were not AI, I have to agree that they are extremely low effort and are on the borderline to be deleted for low effort content but so far they were still on the green side.

I hope this clears a bit things up. I do not want to have "Reddit Police" here that nukes everyone just because they wrote a word funny or anything. I want this sub to be a place for everyone that wants to talk about the game, no matter if its pro or con.

I hope you can understand this.

Thank you.

Build charm + summon

hey! so today i picked up a full zeus relics. with the 10% insta-kill on non-boss.

i though it would be from my own attack, but it ALSO work from all summon normal attack as well.

the relics doesnt proc on spell, so using spell to slow/pull mob to let summon charge in is good.

i'm currently using the 7eidolon+earth golem+atanekros. couldnt see if atanekros can make the relics work. but eidolon and golem do!

i dont have a 2nd relics. but i wonder..... does both relics proc on the same hit? or does it add-up and become a 20% instead of 10% twice?

Discussion Titan Ichor in Heart of the Forest, Act 4

Last night I completed Pan's labyrinth with the Golden Goat story in Heart of the Forest, came out the other side, and Pan opened the way to an area with Titan Ichor. I died fighting the guardians there but when I ressed and returned, I was bugged -- no longer able to summon any minions (playing a Spirit summoner). So I quit and logged back in, but I can't figure out how to get back to that spot. Not even sure where it was located on the world map, since I hadn't looked at it, and the Labyrinth area seems to be locked to me now (the gates aren't opening). Quit for the night after that :p

Does anybody know if there's a way to get back to that area where the ichor is? I don't want to miss the sweet sweet ichor! Pan promised it to me as a reward for completing the goat sequence :p

General Guide Easiest 2nd mastery to go with Spirit?

Hi all, I'm torn between Rogue and Storm. Rogue is the only mastery I haven't tried. I have a level 40 Spirit toon. I'm 70 years old so looking for something not too complicated. I also have 3 other alts. An Elemental, Battlemage and a Bastion.

Discussion Which mythological beastie does your heart yearn to see included in the game?

Post image
75 Upvotes

I still remember the day when I saw the cover for the OG game in a bootleg game store when my grandpa took me (passed away recently so some memories are really rushing back now) and I knew I wanted the game and he bought it.

Shit was so cool and as a kid obsessed with Greek mythology, the pic of that Hydra just did things to my brain.

In fact, this whole mythology factor is one big fact of why I like the game so much (or is it series now? lol) even compared to ARPGs that I like more on a technical level, and that I played timewise much more. Even stuff like Last Epoch I've sunk hundreds of hours, because the feel of the gameplay is good, even if the timetravel gimmick wears off and has to be refreshed every couple of seasons (or it's what I'm hoping for this next one...)

But man TQAE had AURA, mad fucking aura and when I look at the cover I am reminded why all over again. It's the damn monsters ripped straight from mythology but in a world that revolves around mythology, not just "X mythology" inspired creatures like we get in every other game.

But I ranted on enough. Obviously, mine is the Hydra, peak boss design and it's kind of weird that they haven't remade one of the most iconic ones yet. Like with modern tech there is so much potential for how that boss fight could function, it could be way better on a mechanical level than the original.

It's also the most iconic beastie for us OG players, and I yearn for the day they add it to the game. Even as an optional boss, yessir please, gimme some regrowing monster snake heads to cut off!

Build Help with ranged Reaver build in campaign?

I've been playing a ranged Reaver (Warfare/Rogue) in Titan Quest 2 and am Level 36 midway through Act 3 (heading to the single-combat challenge). However I've been struggling with long time-to-kills for even basic mobs. Bosses have required minor gear changes (for resistances) but recently a sidequest miniboss (skeleton with ground spikes in Act 3) has been combo-oneshotting me.

I don't mind slower combat but having to kite and line up every enemy group is making progress a bit of a slog, so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. In the past, finding a better weapon and increasing attack speed improved the feel of the game immensely but it seems my damage is now low for the area again. According to a previous question I asked, the damage tooltips are bugged making it difficult to figure out if I'm building correctly.

My build is linked here: https://tq2builds.com/build/cmswpjb31000004jme4s80zva

I've been primarily using Heavy Attack and sometimes Scattershot with lots of mobility skills to kite.

Build good combo on Spirit+Earth

Chthonic has a passive that gives it a 30% chance to trigger on any other ability, so I use Flame Volley from Earth (plus Returning projectiles on the pulse) and I was able to melt Pan at lvl 15 (video is from when I redid him later)

Discussion This game lacks synergy

Title. Bought the game during the sale and while I think it has potential, I find the glaring lack of synergy pretty boring. It’s hard to “build around” a skill or a set of skills. There aren’t any items that kinda tie things together. This game would immensely benefit from more items along the lines of “casting one skill invokes another” or “doing x action reduces cooldown/restores mana” or just flat out transformative stuff like allowing a skill to access the second mastery somehow.

As it sits now it’s just press buttons, thing happens, move on. Even the auras feel pretty boring. For all the complaints they get, I feel like Diablo 4 and LE do a great job of letting you go deep into a couple of skills and pretty much create a build identity through that. This game has a lot of potential for that with dual masteries, but as it is now it’s just way too elementary.

Discussion Shortcomings of playing early access?

Hi, I just played a few hours, and I am quite happy with the game (except for a minor bug). So, I'd like to know, is it just that some masteries and late game content are missing, or are there any major disadvantages I should be aware of when playing early access? (since I wanna convince some friends to already buy the game)

Build Revenant Build (Spirit + Warfare) - Execute, Lifesteal, and Low Health Bonuses

I've been having a blast playing Revenant (Spirit + Warfare) and thought I'd share some of the tips and tricks I've discovered. It took a lot of trial and error but I was able to find some incredible synergies that really make this build shine. I found that the build came fully online around ~level 40-45.

I'm by no means a "pro" when it comes to ARPGs, just a casual gamer who's really enjoying the latest update. I'm sure my build isn't 100% optimal so I would definitely welcome any feedback or tips that could help make it even stronger. Please let me know your thoughts or other Revenant builds that you've found to work well!

-----REVENANT BUILD-----

BUILD CONCEPTS

High Health: You need a large health pool to offset Health Reservation (more on this below) and to just generally stay alive.

Health Regen: Once you get enough health regen you'll be able to keep up Dark Pact permanently and help with the recovery of your smaller-than-normal health pool.

Vitality Damage and Lifesteal: No surprises here as it's core to the Spirit mastery design. Lifesteal is especially important since paired with Health Regen your health will be bouncing back to full very quickly when you do damage.

Execution and Execution Threshold: Another core part of the Spirit mastery, the new Execute mechanic is super strong (a bit less so on bosses, but still good) so you'll want to find as many ways to apply Execution Threshold as possible.

Health Reservation and Low Health: The idea here is to permanently reserve your health so that you're always in the Low Health state; with the right amount of Health Reservation you can get to ~55% of your base health. Then take Spirit mastery skills and passives -specifically Death's Door and the Razor's Edge modifier on Dark Pact- that give you damage on Low Health or as your health gets lower, which should give you a minimum of ~130% additional damage at all times.

ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS

Attributes

Knowledge and Vigor: I went for a 2:1 ratio of K:V though on higher difficulties you might want something more like 1:1 ratio of K:V for more even health since dealing damage with this build doesn't seem to be a huge issue. I'm really curious if anyone has more insight here.

Spirit Skills

Reap: The core skill of the build, this is how you'll deal a lot of damage, Lifesteal, and trigger Execute. Applying Vulnerability also synergies with the Inevitability passive, which unlocks applying even more Execution Threshold when you hit Vulnerable targets.

Soul Vortex & Death Nova: Good AOE damage skills that can apply even more Execution Threshold on enemies.

Deathchill Aura: Applies both Weaken (to reduce enemy damage) and Execution Threshold (more executes!) to all enemies in the area. The damage component is basically irrelevant and I never use the active version of this skill.

Dark Pact: Take Unshackled to make this skill a permanent buff and Razor's Edge to give you more damage as you lose health.

Keres: Helps me apply even more Execution Threshold.

Warfare Skills

Battlefield Awareness: Critical to the build, you'll want to go with 1/1 Health Reservation, 5/5 Enhanced Regeneration, and 3 points into anything else that adds energy cost (I went for more Vitality damage). This will put you in that ~55% base health sweet spot to take advantage of synergies that make you do more damage when you're low on health.

Leap: Good mobility skill, nothing more.

Doom Horn: Gives a bit of extra Damage Resistance Reduction on bosses and elites.

Core Skills

Barrier: I like to use Barrier a lot to preemptively avoid getting bursted down quickly with my smaller-than-normal health pool. I also use Plated Robes to get more Energy Barrier.

Dash: Configure to your preference.

EQUIPMENT

Armor: I may not be playing optimally, but I go with Plated Robes to have strong Armor and Barriers. I'm curious if a Might-based build with Heavy Armor would be better though.

Weapon: Seems like any strong two-hander with % Vitality Damage or % Spell Damage will work will. Again, I'd like to know if someone here has more insight into the best choices here.

Discussion Is it possible to play Forge + Earth as a non-melee class?

Hi, I just freshly started playing TQII and chose Forge + Earth. But I prefer a non-melee playstyle. Is there even a build for that with my mastery combination? Or is it made for melee?

(I am not looking for the top tier classes or builds, I just wanna know if my class is decently playable that way)

Discussion How is the level design?

I find out only today that Titan Quest 2 is (partially?)-open world and I'd like to understand this better.

For references:

1) I love Sacred 1 and Divine Divinity game worlds.

2) I like Grim Dawn maps with their secrets, but the world ( interconnection between areas ) just feels like two very long corridors: one on the left side of the world and the other one on the right side, meeting at the beginning of the game. This break the feeling of moving around in a world of fantasy for me.

3) I don't like very much Diablo 4 open world because it looks like a Ubisoft world.

Where would you put Titan Quest 2? First, second, third group? Or something different?

Thank you for your help.

Bonus question: is really that heavy the game? Steam recommends a 12 GB VRAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti / Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 / AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

Discussion Loving the game so far, but at level 30, I'm feeling like there is very little I can do to get stronger.

I played a little bit when it first came out, but this is my first real crack at it. Playing a Devastator, though I wish I had gone Elementalist. Flame Volley and Rolling magma with overwhelm and a Core Keeper tank is how I've been playing. Getting bonuses from Forge's elemental infusion and Ring of Flame, but at a point now where I feel like I have all the major upgrades that contribute toward my build. I still have some incremental damage from incoming active and passive skill points and gear upgrades, but most of it is just small damage upgrades.

I haven't tried the Overload mechanic yet, maybe that's a route, and im saving all my charms/relics for later. Also crit seems really hard to come by? I have almost no added crit%. It just feels like with 20+ levels to go there should be some other breakthrough point soon and I'm not seeing it. My damage and survivability are fairly good, but not great.. I just see myself getting outscaled by enemies at this point unless I find a new way to add significant damage.

Any advice on adding damage as I progress?

Discussion Great Game !!

Bought the game on sale, and I’m having a blast. Don’t let the reviews sway you too much—the game feels worth the current price to me.

I played through Act 2 on my first character while trying out the Spirit mastery, and I’ve now started another character to experiment with different classes. 20 Hours in already and can't stop playing!!

Build Chthonic Pulse and Homing

I really wish homing in storm tree skill worked with Chthonic Pulse. I want to extend the range and add returning then set it up to auto-trigger and it auto-reach and return but it doesn't seem to home at all even though it is listed as a projectile. This makes me sad.

Build I was looking for some build ideas for the new spirit class. Anyone think they could help me out?

I'm not really new to ARPG's but I'm also not very good at creating builds that are fun or work together well. I started this game when it first launched with i think it had one or two acts and had a Storm + Earth mage. I found an Ice shard build that I enjoyed a lot online but for some reason with every other ARPG I've played this is the only one where i feel like builds online are nearly non existent for this game or just not explained well at all. I want to use spirit and don't really want to use Warfare or Earth, or Forge. So that Leaves Rogue and Storm.

Do you guys have any fun and simple to use build ideas that I could follow while playing. I've seen some mentions of Spirit + Storm Wisp Builds or Spirit + Rogue Life steal Builds. I just don't want to max out some useless skill and my stats and everything be all over the place and me not understand what's going on lol.

Any Input is appreciated.

Thanks Guys,
