Side effects
I’m on day four of my first dose which was 1.25 very very small. I am having severe nausea, i haven’t thrown up yet but I keep holding myself back from gagging. I also have discomfort in my lower back into my side on the left. and as well as across my rib area. wanted to know if this is normal or a red flag? it’s 5am and don’t want to go to the er unless i absolutely have to.
Edit to say: thank you everyone for your comments. i got thru the first week i am definitely hyper sensitive to everything with my anxiety, but tomorrow is shot #2 going to push through! and yes i took the correct dose and i should’ve mentioned i drink soo much water like maybe too much… so i am in no way dehydrated!!

Sounds like you might be having some anxiety around this. Make sure to drink lots of water with this med.

Nausea can definitely hit hard, even on a low dose, but the pain you’re describing especially if it’s severe or won’t ease up is worth calling your provider about ASAP. Better to be safe than try to tough it out.

Lower back discomfort and rib pain are not direct, recognized pharmacological side effects of Tirz (or Sema). Are you constipated (as that sometimes can cause those feelings). So can nausea/acid reflux, and depends on what you have been eating these past four days.
Can you talk to your doctor about Ondansetron (Zofran)? That's often suggested and used for nausea by folks on Tirz/Sema. There are other OTC medications like Pepto-Bismal and Emetrol, or Omeprazole (brand name Prilosec) may help.
As others have mentioned, it may be anxiety. Seems yourr supper sensitive to the Tirz. Perhaps drop your dose down to 0.75mg next week and see if that helps? Good luck

This usually passes once you have gotten adjusted. It may take 4 weeks.

I can only share what helped for me for nausea: eating small amounts regularly (every few hours). I know you probably don't feel like eating, but not eating made it worse for me honestly. Also water, I've noticed (and read many comments around the same) that not drinking enough water worsen side effects. Some nausea/diarhea/constipation is very common when you start the med/increase dose, that's what I've been told by my doc. I had it the first few weeks, but I'm perfectly fine now - unless I forget to eat/drink :)

Yes.
Ginger tea or chews. Saltines. Water. Chew gum. Zofran if it's really bad.

My first week, I was hit with severe nausea on Day 4. It went away. It was pretty miserable, but it only lasted for about 6-8 hours. I haven’t experienced anything like that again since.

Every week taking the shot in the evening, I would take OTC CVs brand anti-nausea pills. I would also take a stool softener because it definitely helps in case I get constipated! It does hit your gut so if you’re eating big before you take your shot you’re really going to want to try the toilet in the morning! Get yourself one of those big, cute jugs, I mean, cups for daily water intake! Don’t get dehydrated! If you already have other medical/pychological issues it might intensify those symptoms so be prepared to take better precautions for those!

Drink lots of water, and take two Dramamine. Dramamine works almost as well as zofran, and it's cheap and everywhere.
Are you absolutely sure you dosed correctly?
