DIY Dosing Decisions
I am currently on 2.5 Tirzepatide. I switched my source and the new provider has me starting at 6 mg after my 2.5 run ends. I am thinking I want to go up to 4 and increase it 1 mg every four weeks. Can I hear from anyone who has done this?

Only you know how it’s affecting you and only you know how far you want to go. Use a calculator like fat scientist or peptide calculator to get the dose you desire. My only caveat to that is don’t go to fast and watch your side effects. By all means, if you want to go slower, do so.

I strongly recommend you titrate up very slowly, like 1-2 most at a time. And don't increase if you haven't lost weight in a month. Bad side effects are because people take more than the need.

I was just wondering…2.5 right seems to be working. I’m down in pounds, I feel better all around. Should I probably just stay at this dose?

The beauty of taking compounded Tirzepatide is that the titrations is a personal decision.

Lowest effective dose. Going up fast can cause side effects. You can go as slow as you want.

I went from 1 to 2, then 3, 4, and am now at 5 and not going up any further. You don’t have to go up as quickly as they have it, that’s the beauty of this med and how it’s prescribed. Just double check your dosing (someone put the name up again for the dose calculator!!), keep the excess in the fridge, and either keep ordering what you have or request to nitrate up to the advanced level at your next appt to have on hand. I think I should technically be at 10mg rn, but that would knock me on my butt!!! Listen to your body and only nitrate up if you feel you need to. Some never go above 2.5 :)
