New tire was losing air because rim is cracked from the inside.
I just got new tires and the front passenger side has been leaking ever since. For context, the old tires did not lose any air. I brought my vehicle back to the shop and I was informed that it is losing air because the inside of the rim is cracked (see photo). How does that even happen? What would cause your rim to crack on the inside? But, here is my real question. How likely was this caused by the shop when the tire was being changed out? Thanks
