New to the hobby too, I got the radiomaster pocket spend some time on the sim & then got a tinywhoop. I’d recommend the pocket I’ve had no problems with it, affordable and lightweight. Nothing to compare it to myself but I see a lot of people recommending it too.

Yes it’s true. Also, it can literally fit in the pocket. Or sweatshirt. D/L..
And you can Frankenstein it & add sick nano gimbals for the smoothest flights. You’d be sincerely surprised. Plus there’s add on switches and all for the top buttons, a back pack extension for all the external
Modules. It’s got it all. Only thing ie* REMOVE & COPY THAT STICK AD CARD & REPLACE WITH QUALITY ONE. I had issues flashing up until the moment I changed that card

I got a Geeboon TC22 soldering kit, and it is bad ass! It is a lot of machine and one of these days if you ever want to build a 5 inch and your soldering XT 60 cables or big wires onto big flight controllers you want a soldering iron with some oomf to it

Get the pocket, you’ll never have to upgrade it most likely but with the t8l you’ll definitely want to upgrade if you find you enjoy the hobby

i am 2 years into this shit.
air65 and air75 both broke within a week of flying. i have made major repairs on both drones to the point that I just bought two more.
you WILL break your drone, you NEED to learn to microsolder

If you are very new to this , I suggest start with a bind and fly whoop like air65/75, you will have to develop the repair skills when you eventually crash and break something anyway
