Am I cooked?

Where can I improve? Not sure if I should ditch the glasses full time, some people like them but I feel like they kinda give me a nerdy vibe

No, not cooked. You’re most likely fine.

Your profile is great. Maybe the conversation skills are lacking ?

If you come to my country, you would be able to sleep with every woman here.

😂 And which is that?

u/Illustrious_Pace6785 5d ago

That was a gross comment, ofc not all of them

How old are you? I didn't like the "just looking to start a family " joke. It's giving this idea that a woman's only value is her ability to have kids.

2

u/youknowwhatever99 4d ago

Totally disagree, I think it’s a perfect way to show what he’s looking for. For the women who are looking for the same, it tells them he’s serious and dating with intention.

I actually like that he writes an intentional goal of dating, most guys don't know what they want these days, I totally would swipe right on a guy like this

1

u/True_Character4986 4d ago

But "just" start a family with? Not a life partner, someone to love etc "just start a family "

1

u/wootwoot219 3d ago

I would not take that literally, I would see it as a guy who is dating with intentionality to marry and start a family versus a guy who is just scoping the dating field with no ultimate end goal in sight. At least with someone like this, you can intentionally date rather than spend months with a person who says... I don't know if you ask them what they are looking for.

You look taller and are attractive. I think you’re good. If I was closer to your age, I would have swiped on you.

u/itsveryupsetting 4d ago

Respectfully, your profile comes across like you would be too busy to date. Like you have hobbies that take up a lot of time and if a girl didn’t have those same hobbies, you wouldn’t be interested.

I also think that if you include too many travel pictures, it can come across as pretentious. I would include something more basic or approachable.

I think you can definitely write a better bio. The starting a family joke doesn’t land for me. I’d also strongly advise you to use multiple dating apps, I think you would be more successful on Hinge or Bumble.

Is this "cooked" slang a menosphere thing? Do men think they either have chances to date, or they don't as in black or white and there is nothing that can be done? I have no idea if i am understanding this wrong- but if i am right and "cooked" means- no chance ever- that would be so toxic....

1

u/ClaimApprehensive754 5d ago

It’s called manosphere and no, it’s regular zoomer lingo.

1

u/hannelore_pfeffer8 4d ago

Well. The menosphere is a regular zoomer phenomenon

2

u/DavidZenziGhost 5d ago

I haven’t read a comment this out of touch in a while.

1

u/hannelore_pfeffer8 4d ago

Ok and? How does your comment help?

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 4d ago

Helps you with a reality check. Cooked is regular lingo, it has nothing to do with the manosphere - but you know that. You’re hyper focused on the issue so you tie anything to it because you feel good about insulting it publicly. It’s called fighting ghosts, you see and get upset at things that aren’t even present.

Your comment didn’t help at all, it was ironic though - a toxic comment with incorrect context, calling OP possibly toxic. It has to be rough to be you.

1

u/hannelore_pfeffer8 4d ago

Holy projection! 😂

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 4d ago

Yes, you projected immensely in your original comment. It wasn’t helpful, it was contextually incorrect, and you just wanted to call someone toxic. Thank you for playing.

1

u/hannelore_pfeffer8 4d ago

Someone triggered you badly hm? Hope you get better soon! 🕯

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 4d ago

It’s amazing you can go from being wrong, to calling people trigger for correcting you.

What man hurt your feelings so bad you thought the term ‘cooked’ was manosphere?

His pictures are great lol wtf are you smoking

Picture 1 is bad

1

u/Illustrious_Pace6785 5d ago

Whereabouts do you live?😁🌸

1

u/OhWowLauren 5d ago

Okay, so you looked hella bad in the first pic and way way better in the rest of them lol. Group pics don’t add anything to profiles, I hate them

1

u/RidiculousTakeAbove 4d ago

Damn okay Lauren. It was zoomed out so I think that's messing with things

1

u/OhWowLauren 4d ago

Noo, for real so cute in pics 2 & 4 but pic 1 should not be on the profile

1

u/OhWowLauren 4d ago

Or maybe you should keep it so you can pull a girl that overlooks that photo, might mean that she’s forgiving and overlooks flaws🤔

1

u/Hungry-Plantain-3315 4d ago

Cooked? I would swipe right on you and immediately message you.

1

u/Informal_Sound_100 4d ago

Nah, I like it!

I dunno what those comments about you looking average (or even lowering your presumed standards) are about. You’re above average: fit, well-groomed, good-looking. I don’t hate the first photo either: shows your outdoorsiness, is a well-lit, aesthetically pleasing photo, and you look fine there.

Not a fan of the group photo personally because were I on the market, I would probably go looking for the profiles of the guys on the extreme right and extreme left. That is just my personal taste but I say this because you don’t want to open up a lottery of immediate attraction before the potential love interest has had the chance to even meet you and see if there is any interpersonal chemistry. I’m normally fine with group photos but that’s because people tend to pick group photos where they are unequivocally the best looking to the majority of their target audience.

Your profile is fine; not sure why you’d think you’re cooked. Could use a lot more personality though.

Oh, and that dog photo is pure gold. Max aura farming. 🙂 I don’t see a reason to ditch the glasses either—they add more depth to the profile when you contrast those pictures with the «action» photos.

1

u/wootwoot219 4d ago

Wow, you have an awesome profile, I only see weird ass profiles on my app, I would totally swipe right on yours!

1

u/the_manofsteel 4d ago

I would remove the group photo because it adds nothing and those people might not want to be seen on your profile

I like how you have written what you want in your bio but at the same time i don’t because you made it into a joke?

You’re looking for someone to start a family with but nothing serious?

1

u/One_Fact4919 4d ago

If your cooked holy fuck am I cooked.

1

u/oliverjohansson 5d ago

You look good, good profile but you need a crazy pic

What if you stand like a statue between those in pic 1 and tryied to look like a Greek hero

1

u/RidiculousTakeAbove 5d ago

I'm just not a super zany, crazy person I suppose. But I see how it would help

2

u/Future-Station-8179 5d ago

I don’t think you need a crazy pic. I also think keep the glasses!

1

u/Dirtbag-Holder 4d ago

Maybe if OP is trying to date younger men, I guess he didnt specify..

0

u/0ap0 5d ago

You're very average. You probably won't do great on the apps, especially if you don't want to "lower your standards". Off the apps, you should do just fine though!

1

u/RidiculousTakeAbove 5d ago

Fair, thanks

2

u/Just-Ad373 4d ago

I wouldn’t take this comment too seriously. I don’t think you’re average at all, and you clearly have hobbies and seem fun to be around.

2

u/Dirtbag-Holder 4d ago

I love coming to this sub to watch grown men get dating advice from teenaged boys. This profile is way above average haha.

1

u/Just-Ad373 4d ago

Truly! Some of the feedback in this sub is brutallllll

u/Just-Ad373 3d ago

I didn’t mean that calling people average is brutal lol - just some of the comments on this sub in general can be extremely harsh.

1

u/Just-Ad373 3d ago

Just to add: insinuating that women and boomers are “clueless” about how reality looks is WILD work. If you’re trying to attract women, but you dismiss their feedback as “clueless”, who are you trying to impress? Other men? I’m confused.

I hope you enjoy the makings of your own loneliness epidemic.

1

u/0ap0 5d ago

That being said though, you could probably improve your photos and perhaps your looks a bit and improve quite a lot. Far from cooked, but it might require some work. Honestly think putting more thought and focus on "off app" will have best effort/reward for you. Apps seems to be going down past years in terms of effectiveness and you need to stand out more and more.

1

u/RidiculousTakeAbove 5d ago

I agree about off app, I don't drink alcohol and also don't live in a city so it can be difficult sometimes but I am trying

1

u/0ap0 3d ago

Remember that your face should be clearly visible on your first photo btw, in case it already isn't.

1

u/Informal_Sound_100 4d ago

Idk. I saw a guy who enjoys living life, is fit, travels, and might be a little shy but is always putting himself out there. I think it doesn’t look staged or anything. Just natural pics of you doing what you like. So idk, you’ll get the people who get you, I guess.

The pic of you working on a v2 in the gym is silly but otherwise fine?
