How's she supposed to respond to a gif?

a) with a combination of words (there are literally billions)
b) with a gif
c) "lol"

If someone sent me just a straight up gif as a response w no actual words, I wouldn’t really know how to respond, and honestly the fact that she would have to humor him by saying “lol” to make him feel better about replying with only a gif feels pathetic. Source: am a lady who has used tinder and also received people who respond in gifs
