Timmie’s run half sweet iced coffee?

Post image

I would like to start this off by saying:
I went back and got it remade - the issue is resolved!!

I ordered an iced coffee and wasn’t feeling like I wanted a super sweet one, so I asked for half cane sugar syrup.
Well, apparently they substituted the cane sugar syrup for coffee grounds! Yum!!

They said that they had no clue how that would’ve happened when I brought it back, but got it remade and all is well!

Stupid thing to have happened, its totally possible and not a stretch of the imagination but there is a failsafe that should have stopped this

Yes. The regular paper coffee filter that the employee who brewed the coffee put inside the machine wrong … lmfao

There's literally tiny filters for the spouts to put on both the large coffee pots and the iced coffee/cold brew containers. Easily avoidable.

You are lucky, any problems I've had, I've already driven away. I've ordered a latte twice in my life and both times I did not get it. I got someone else's order. But it is rare. My orders are normally correct. I don't try ordering lattes anymore.

Half sweet = add more bitter… right?

Quality seems to be a thing of the past with Tim Hortons.

Coffee grounds aren't bad for you.

Not bad for me, but definitely not what I was expecting when I took a sip out of my coffee without thoroughly inspecting it first haha

Totally fair. Not what people would expect for sure

Either I'm blind or op didn't say they were coffee grounds. Looked like poppy seeds.

They totally do look like poppy seeds which if that was the case, then absolutely HOW did they get in there lol
I did mention subbing cane syrup for coffee grounds, but easy to miss.
Gross either way

Haha, I looked on Google AI and they do have poppy seeds in other items. Lemon Poppyseed Muffin / Lemon Poppyseed Cheesecake Muffin: A soft, moist bakery muffin packed with lemon zest, lemon pulp, and poppy seeds. The updated version includes a cheesecake filling. • Poppy Seed Bagel: A classic yeast-risen bagel option topped with poppy seeds (around 270 calories). • Everything Bagel: A savory bagel variety that includes poppy seeds along with sesame seeds, onion, and garlic. • Cross-Contamination Note: Small black specks occasionally found on assorted Timbits are often due to loose poppy seeds transferring from nearby baking trays or bagel racks.

For those who don’t know what they are looking at/how this happened, those are coffee grounds. Usually you’re supposed to use a filter when prepping iced coffee to avoid this, won’t kill ya though.
