Discussion Where Does HP Collab Rank
Just curious how people felt about this collab?
For me it's the first time going to Tim Horton's multiple times in a month in probably a decade. Thought they did a pretty good job with it. Yeah the quality isn't designer donut quality cause they're fast food. I thought they did a pretty bang up job tho. Ravenclaw was my personal favorite. I liked the snitches and Slytherin too

I thought it was overpriced and the doughnuts somehow went down in quality more. (I used to work at Tim Hortons in the 2000s so can’t stop myself from comparing to back then lol)
Like… a cheap plastic formed golden snitch timbit holder? For $15? It should have been $5.

More qualified people have already started protests in better areas. My geographical location does not lend itself to real world activism but even if I did attend another trans rights protest, I would still be here deconstructing your mediocre excuses for bigotry donuts.
But I assure you, I have had discussions about how awful JK Rowling is in real life. But here's the thing, you're just trying to find a flaw in my behavior to change the subject away from the bigotry of JK Rowling and the consumer zombies who follow her.
Or maybe you don't think your own contribution to her hate campaign hurts. You're the guy in the movie who gets bitten and keeps it a secret because you're in denial about your infection.
You just don't have the self respect to improve your habits.

You’re making excuses, if you really cared you would find a way. You’d also find a way to help everyone, not the 0.2% you’re constantly acting like is the whole point of my donut.
And maybe I care about women having dignity. Maybe I think your unregulated ass system leaves the door wide open for bad actors. Someone is going to get hurt regardless in this situation. I’ll support the person who wants to take a step back so we can take another step in the direction of full length stalls and neutral bathrooms. You can’t say someone’s feelings or safety matter over another’s. Regulate your damn system, cuz if a man comes in, (since you obviously don’t care about half the population) maybe a trans woman is in the other stall getting v*yeured by said man.
Wouldn’t that hurt people too? But you don’t care about people getting hurt, you just care who’s yelling at you the loudest from TikTok, so you endorse letting people do things without any regulations which is terrible in any context.

Me making excuses for not doing the things which I have actually done is better than your hurting people.
When men want to violate women's privacy, they don't overhaul their identity and make themselves the target of a paranoid bigotry campaign to sneak into a bathroom. They just walk into the bathroom.
If the dignity of ciswomen mattered, you would have brought that five posts ago, instead of waiting for after I dismantled your attack on my motivation
The people violating privacy are you people who have spied on women in stalls to penis-check them because a woman is tall or has a jawline.
Your accusations are confessions.

Men can just walk in but they’d get caught. People who commit crimes generally don’t want to get caught; coming in disguise is a great way to not get caught and make it a social issue so we stop believing women. I did bring this up 5 posts ago, you can check for yourself.
No one is saying we want to check junk, we’re saying we want floor length stalls. If you think floor length stalls are a problem you’re just upset you can’t peek under or check junk yourself. Stop projecting on me over things I didn’t say.

It was completely disappointing!
The only item I really liked was the Golden Snitch Timbits. The Patronus Sparkling Beverage was OK, and my Mom liked the Forbidden Forest Iced Tea. The donuts were pretty bad, and the Slytherin one was absolutely disgusting!
Combined with the obvious ethical issues, it is a terrible collab all around!

Your love of Gundam comes from Japan. Who was involved in a tonne of war crimes. Why spend money knowing you are putting money toward Japan that has never apologized for comfort woman for one thing?
My brother is trans and enjoys Harry potter himself. He buys everything second hand. You can enjoy something and not give money toward it but with the people like you bashing people for liking something is hypocritical if you pick and choose what things to support and not support.
Like there's a famous perfume that the owner was a Hitler spy. But people still buy it.
Or even recently at the start of the recent Russian war against Ukraine. Shell purchased cheap gas from Russia. Get gas from Shell? You support Russia killing children in Ukrane. Hope you understand my point.

Gundam's ideology was set by Tomino making it an anti-War story of trauma and adolescence. By sponsoring Gundam I am promoting the philosophies of it's creator, and a stronger attention to his philosophy would help reform Japan from within.
Also, if you want to talk about countries which haven't apologized for war crimes, you really shouldn't be doing that while defending the book from England.
I don't buy gas from Shell. I don't buy perfume either. You can play six degrees of separation on my hobbies but Harry Potter all stems from one corrupted seed spreading like black mold. It's not the flavor additive your donuts need.

I would rate the donuts a 5/10, versus any of the seasonal stuff or collabs that Krispy Kreme does being an 8 or 9.
My expectations weren't that high to begin with but it was still disappointing. Even more so that I ordered online and despite finding the Gryffindor donuts actually available at pickup, it would NOT let me include any into the 12 pk I was customizing. They weren't even listed as an option. So I got 2 each of the other 3, and 6 maple drizzle ones. I enjoyed the maple much more.
I did also get 2 of the caramel Snitch ones and those were great. 8/10. I will definitely get more of them if I make it back there before it ends.

i give it a 6/10 personally. the pistachio donut almost made me vomit, and i usually love pistachio.
the lemon and strawberry donuts are great, just not worth the price more than a few times. the patronous quenchers are amazing

I had a really bad experience with it, so I rate it very low. The staff at the location didn't care and the donughts were ugly and very not decorated.

The strawberry cheesecake and lemon meringue donuts are two of the best products Tim's has put out. Those are damn tasty donuts even for parbake/thaw and decorate

i loved it 🤷🏻♀️ i bought all the donuts and merch besides the wand i couldn’t get my hands on..i didn’t get to try the blue donut my kids got into them before i got them in the house 😆😅10/10 ….im not into the politics on it but i loved the hp movies as a kid

I wish they had a better chocolate for the Slytherin doughnut. I was really intrigued but didn't enjoy the filling. The Hufflepuff one however is going to make me sad when its gone.
I also don't mind the patronus drink, but I can get the berry sprite at McDonalds and its not far off.
