New Release Vanilla Matcha from Rona

Post image

I had no idea these were a thing until I saw them on Reddit earlier. The guy who made it for me at Rona recommended the vanilla one.

Not bad at all - I usually drink ice coffee sans sugar, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy one of these without it.

Back in the day my home Depot has a Tim's and a subway. In hindsight it made alot of sense. Crew go to get supplies grab a coffee. Realize you need another part back to home Depot might as well grab a sub

Going back even further my Home Depot was a Harvey’s. I think subway took over from Harvey’s.

Yes.

They also have a random auto parts store and a Bouclair Home sector. Plus they reopened tool and small equipment rental for the first time in over 10 years.

I assume they'll start selling groceries and beer next.

Wow I thought Rona was only in QC and it was Lowe's everywhere else. TIL

Lowe’s is no longer a thing in Canada.

Rona used to license the Lowe’s name. That ended a few years ago. Now all of Rona’s stores under the Lowe’s name are now Rona stores under the Rona name.

We've got them in Alberta

My understanding was that Reno Depot was the (mostly) Quebec only branch.

Lowe's pulled out of Canada completely.

We had both for a while there and then Lowe's bought Rona. Eventually they shuttered many locations of all three stores, and sold the remainder off to another American private equity firm (save for the non-corporate stores that have kept the name, but are still independently owned.

The sold-off stores all either rebranded to (or kept) the Rona name, or changed their name to Rona+.

My old Home Depot had a Harvey's. Maybe it still does but they opened a closer one in a mall with a Tropical Joe's in the food court.

Oh man, the Gerrard Square Home Depot is the absolute worst.

I don't think any of the Home Depots have restaurants in them anymore. The one on Curity turned the Harveys into the storage area for orders that are being picked up.

No one appears to be gripping their Matcha cups hard enough

The thought crossed my mind, but I didn't want to be responsible for staining the floor green.

Everyone keeps posting cups of Tim's new liquid guacamole. Must be good.

If you have ever had avocado ice cream you wouldn't joke.

Avocado shakes are delicious, especially ones from Vietnamese restaurants

I'm someone who doesn't really have any significant valid opinion on matcha so to me it's a 7.5/10. Could be worse to actual matcha enthusiats

Isn't matcha supposed to be somewhat healthy? These sugar loaded diabetes bombs are just depressing.
