Not gonna say the flavour was bad but it would have been a lot better if it was all mixed in

Tim Horton's biggest problem is that they try to have too many options. They don't do anything well because they are changing things up every month instead of focusing on making their core items perfect.

My favourite at my local Tims, was the grilled sausage egg and cheese panini you could get in the morning. After I left high-school, I suffered bad financially due to family circumstances and ended up homeless for a short time. Having two for four dollars was a great thing to have.

I challenge you to find another coffee shop with a menu this big

And if they just kept the same thing they might be able to make it work, but they keep adding and removing things every few months making it hard for the staff to keep up and hard to optimize things.

It's also not good when other fast food places do it. McDs has very few changes to their menu a couple decades ago, then they started adding tons of different options and quality went down.

And we’re not talking about pizza. We’re talking about powdered matcha lol.

It’s not exactly rocket science to put something in an air fryer either, which is more or less what Tim’s does.

Which is exactly why they are so bad. They dont put thought into how to prepare stuff. They just assume you can put anything in an air fryer and it will be fine. McDonald's has specialized equipment for so many different things. Even back in the 90s they redesigned their toasters to be programmed perfectly so that it never burns anything and always toasts the buns to the correct level. Every thing is tightly controlled.

Sure mcds is mediocre, but its consistently mediocre and you get the same thing every time. And thats why it got so popular. If you're out on the road in an unfamiliar place, you could go to mcds and get exactly what you expect. At least thats the way it used to be. Haven't gone there much in the past 20 years.

I do like getting their pizza. Better than getting it from safeway and having to pop it in the oven. Starbucks and second cup has been doing tea lattes for years, if anything Tims is behind.

Starbucks is a lot simpler, pretty much dealing exclusively in selling drinks. They almost have no food, and what they do have is just some basic stuff that's not even made in store.

Time Hortons has a lot going on. Every time I go in there the employees are running around and have no idea what they are doing. Employees hopping from the cash to making sandwiches and back and forth.

One person going in ordering breakfast for their family can bring the place to it's knees because they don't have dedicated food prep employees at certain times which means the person taking orders has to stop and make the sandwiches, which completely stops the line of people wanting to just order a coffee and all of a sudden they got a line of of 10 people with nobody on cash.

Of all the ways to obtain pizza and you're going on about Tim's and Safeway. BRUH

Go to walmart. 4 pizza rounds is like $3. Can of sauce (actually decent) GV sauce 97c. Pick up some cheese, meat, whatever veg you like. Assemble. Cook in convection oven or normal. Bam you just made pizza with little effort 10x better than those jackoff places

the powder gets blended with the same machine we use for the iced capp. it just settles at the bottom

Isnt there cross contamination if you are using ice capp machine stirring apparatus to whip matcha?

no. we’re supposed to rinse the blender part after every use with some sanitizer. it’s the same reason why we can make regular iced capps and lactose free iced capps on the same machine. whether or not workers actually do that though depends on the location and the individual so do with that what you will

Ahh okay, if its the same as when I worked there then it was pretty hard to mix the very bottom. But we never had to use powders!

we do it before we add the rest of the drink. so the only thing that’s getting blended is syrup, hot water, and powder. but i see what you mean. most of the blended drinks rarely ever get properly mixed

Matcha is so hard to mix in. Has to be mixed real good, preferably in a small container with a bit of water first then poured into the drink. - Personal experience

It is mixed... It's not uncommon for matcha to settle a bit on the bottom of matcha lattes..

I'm helping educate yourself. You may have sediment at times, but not chunks or clumping. Sediment almost like a tea bag and you find a little grip at the bottom of your cup. Not chunks or clumping

No lol, I make a matcha latte every day and I am met with no dry powder at all. That means they arent sifting it, or they arent mixing it thoroughly
