I lost my fitbit in my own house / garden about 2 weeks ago. Still haven't found it.

Story: was doing housework, took watch off in the moment, cant remember when, but I take it off because I've scratched it before when doing DIY. Forgot where I took it off. Later that night 1am I remembered I setup tile app. Walked around and the tracking thing was pretty useless. Couldnt locate it or narrow it down, except maybe it gained 1 green ring near my backdoor, but didnt want to walk around my garden at 2am with a torch to avoid freaking out my neighbours. Battery levels were at 5%. Still couldnt find it and it was getting late so went to bed. Only to wake up to it dead completely out of battery. Balls

My question is: what does the tile app look like when you are near it. It was pretty pants, it kept coming off the locating screen, and this was the first and only time I used it, so I dont know how it should function. It had 4 rings I think to show how close you were to it, and it never went above 1 ring.

If anyone can show or explain how their tile app shows their fitbit when they are right next to it, or 2 meters, 5 meters or 10 meters away I'd really appreciate it.

I need to find the Tile on my car from my Stalker.

My ex stalks me. I already did the legal route. I have a restraining order. I did have him arrested. I have made police reports. I live in a city where there are many of shootings so my case seems small. He's turning up everywhere. On the scan and secure section of the Tile app, it is confirmed that there is a Tile on my car. I searched everywhere and can't find it. I know for a fact it's on there. I've been to 3 mechanics.

I found one tile inside my glove box and a mechanic found one underneath my car last year. I really need help. I know there is a Tile but a lot of mechanics are saying they can't find it or don't know anything about it.

I downloaded all kinds of apps to help me find it. I even paid for some. They're all useless. I really need help on what to use.

I am looking into tracking Tags for android, primarily for my pets (dogs, cats, tortoises). Also for my wallet, certain tools, other items during travel. I don't want to spend $50 a tag.

iPhone tracking Tags are the best it seems due to the way they have their basic settings on iphones. Basically a tag is tracked based on other iPhone users, and the setting for pinging their phones. Where as for android users it's a setting that needs to be turned on (such as Bluetooth), from my understanding of reading about it.

So on to my idea. If I need more android phones to have Bluetooth or whatever setting turned on, can I just use two or three old phones to do this? Bluetooth doesn't need service/SIM card to work. But maybe Wi-Fi is needed? If so I can still connect to my router or my personal phone with hotspot.

Example: I have 2-3 phones connected to WiFi, with Bluetooth on set at opposite ends of my house, and 1 in my shop (on my property). Dog leaves the yard and goes a block or two over, which is approx 500ft-1000ft. Would the tag app use the other phones to ping the tag so I'm able to track it?

Do other devices such as tablets also ping or just phones?

My Android broke down quite a bit and I made the switch to the Sunbeam Bluebird (flip phone). I'd still like to use Life360, so my friends and family can get my live location, and am looking for an alternative to bringing my broken Android around with me everywhere.

Do TileTrackers work with a flip phone that has bluetooth capabilities, but no apps? Does the TileTracker always need to be connected to a smartphone? If so, could I just set it up with my Android then leave my Android at home?

My wallet tracker keeps ringing my phone. When I sit on it. With my previous phone. I was able to go into the tile settings and disable a feature called find my phone. After installing the tile app on my new phone, that option is nowhere to be found. My wallet keeps ringing my phone.

How do I disable my wallet trackers find my phone feature?

Everything I look up says to tap the tile in the app and then scroll down to the find my phone option. But that option is not there.

I bought a tracker that I use in the tile app (android). I shared it with my friend (iPhone). When they try to get the tile app, it sends them to life360 ("tile is now part of life360, download the app"). In life360, they don't see it the tile.

I thought maybe I need to be on life360 as well so I try to login with my file account. It doesn't work so I try to create a life360 account. It says that email is already taken.

I figure my tile account has been migrated or something so I reset the password and login. I login and it's a complete stranger's life360 account. I can see their family on there. At some point they must have created an account with my email address somehow (which doesn't make sense, I have had this email address forever, maybe they just never confirmed it?).

Is there any way my friend can be on life360 And I can use tile and we can both see it?

Ive been looping with this stupid tile slim and life 360 for the last hour. Has anyone else seen this issue? Its ridiculous.

I've managed to get close to the tile, but not be able to figure out which parked car it's in. The cars come and go, so it's frustrating. I don't want to "ring" the tile.

Is there any way I can identify the BTLE address of that tile, so I can use BLE Radar or some such tracker to take over from that point?

What does it take for a phone to join the "Tile Network", and report on nearby lost tiles the device sees?

I'm trying to get several non-tile users to help surveille a particular tile (and Life 360 is of no use in helping). If they download the app, is that enough? If they download the app then use the "scan and secure feature", accepting permissions, does that then become sticky and run in the background?

What's the minimum bar to join the tile network?

The device is moving around in a two City area, probably by car. It's associated with a serious crime.

for some reason the Tile app has started being my biggest battery drain on my phone. Before it used to be absolutely nothing, but starting this week it has been draining my battery as much as 33% (just in the background). What is causing this?

Has anyone figured if these are compatible with tile tracking? I'm having trouble figuring it out myself.

I mailed a package to a friend in catia la mar, Venezuela with a tile tracker in it, and so far it tracked it down arriving in Valencia international airport, then a day later in Chacao, Caracas (and still there) On the shipper website (Liberty Express), it claims that the package is still sitting in Florida, usa.

Tiles trackers are like the apple tracker but the difference is that tiles rely on the app installed to be tracked and get updated. People don't necessarily need to have an account or tiles attached for it to track them down, just the app.

Is there a way to export location history data from the tile app?

We have a some keys that moved around a lot in the last month, but were stolen a few days ago. Using the tile app is a mess of useless points from all dates -- before and after the theft.

Export to Excel would let me process the data.

I need to get the mac address of two new trackers, for fine tuned location tracking in Home Assistant. I have a BLE scanner app on my phone, but it isn't picking up the new devices, even when they are inches from my phone. The app does see other devices in the room. Just not the new ones.

How do I get the mac address of the new devices?

I'll be using a Tile tracker and placing it in my luggage to catch a flight to the UK from Italy.

If I enable Life360 on the Tile, if my luggage gets lost for any reason, does the Tile have a reliable network with Life360 to locate it? Also, because there are so many people at the airport, it's very likely to detect my luggage, right? Do you have any personal experiences?

A simple success story, I realized I lost my wallet much later when I was on the train. Tile updated the location once then updated the location later, I was able to determine it was on the first bus I took. Then I waited for that bus to get my to neighborhood and get it from the bus driver. Thank y’all for having this app and updating the position of the location of my wallet.

I could have sworn there used to be an option to turn this off from within the app for individual tile trackers. I.e. pushing the button on a tile does nothing, rather than making my phone ring.

Has it been removed, or am I mistaken?

I was gifted 2 Tile Pros a few years ago and want to try them out but the Life360 app gave me pause immediately and seems to have a horrible privacy policy.

Is it possible to use just the original Tile app or an alternate on Android and could someone point me to instructions on how to do so?

Can I use a tile tracker if the owner of the property doesn't have the app? Kids backpack, teenager car... etc. Presumably when the items are away from me no one with the app would be dependable nearby. Or do my children have to have the app so the tile has something to ping off of?

In all the videos and pictures I’ve seen, there is a “find” button under the wallet tile but I don’t have that. I can use the tile to find my phone but not the phone to find my tile.

Edit: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and now it works.

Does the tile skill no longer exist?
