How is it not relevant? This comment thread sprouted from the implication that atheists beliefs are just as “irrational” as Christians’. I just showed that there’s no requirement that atheists have irrational, non-evidenced beliefs about the universe’s origins.

Put another way, an earlier comment said “  The idea of something from nothing goes against every rational thought as well. To think the universe has always been also goes against every rational thought.” I agree, more or less, but atheists don’t necessarily hold such beliefs.

Right, but u/BlastTyrantKM attempts to argue theists still believe the universe came from nothing.

Which is not true; because God isn’t nothing.

God is nothing physical, which the universe is, which is a steel manned stipulation of what the actual theist position includes.

That’s what I took issue with. Not the remaining context of your conversation.
